Morning everyone! It's 6am and I am already so effing BORED. We sat around and watched movies yesterday and laid really low. It was nice, but I need to do something new today. I need to make a plan.

We didn't make the pretzels that I had planned on because I couldn't find the salt (turns out it was on the top shelf--face palm) so we made homemade English Muffins instead. So yummy!! Look who made a Grim sized one for himself ;)

Accountability: Stayed within my points (even with the muffin!) and did about 30 minutes on the stationary bike. Otherwise not active at all.

QOTD: I heard the Olympics are probably going to be need or delayed. Do you usually watch the Olympics? Do you have a favorite sport to watch? I haven't payed close attention to it in a long while, but I always enjoy watching the swimming, gymnastics and all of the ski jumps in the winter!

I feel like every day is bleeding into the day before it. I haven't even gotten on here because my schedule feels so mixed up. At this point I'm daring anyone to say the words "social distancing" one more f-ing time. Every single Facebook group I belong to is dominated by it. People up in arms about folks not distancing enough - which I get, I really do - but you don't know a person's specific situation and I live in a town with a HUGE hospital. One family got called out with pictures in our neighborhood group because there was a "group of teams roaming around and not distancing". Turns out they were a sibling group on a walk, but there was 5 of them between the ages of 12 and 17 (one set of twins). There seems to be a large contingency of people who think you have to stay inside in order to socially distance. On the flip side of the coin my kids think I'm ruining their lives by enforcing the rules. It's a picnic over here!

QOTD: I haven't really ever watched the Olympics. When I was a kid my mother used to like to watch the figure skating during the winter. But, I'm also the person that is 0% affected by the lack of sports right now. Literally zero.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x2 (or let's be real, maybe 3)
  • Egg, Potato, Sausage, Cheese Scramble
  • Turkey, Cheese, Olives
  • Leftover Chicken Taco Soup w/ Cheese and Sour Cream

I forgot that I watch the figure skating too!

I know what you mean about some people thinking you can't go outside. My DS was one of them so I showed him some FAQs from California. I was wondering if he wanted me to put AstroTurf inside for the dog?

Funny I saw the exact same controversy play out here--a large family outside together getting called out and shamed by a FB group. The pics were taken by a person I know in the group (a former neighbor) who is going crazy trying to shame everyone over this and creating panics wherever she goes online.

There was also another post about show someone had been walking on a paved bike path and someone had "passed within one foot" of her and now she had to worry for the next 2-14 days that she had been infected. Because you know, if they had just shouted "ON YOUR LEFT" then she would have gotten 6' off the path to give them distance.

Then several people jumped in to say that on their walks people are not making the effort to step off the sidewalk/onto the grass to make sure they keep a 6' distance around them. Other people also commented that all these people would be better off if they just stayed inside.

If they have supposedly researched social distancing to the extent they have, how can they not have read that the highest ris****urs when you've been in an enclosed space within 6' of someone for 10 minutes or more.

SIGH.

Quick post as I am walking with the group this morning (6 plus feet apart). No church so everyone wanted to do it today in addition to the usual 6 days.

Those muffins look fantastic! Good thing my carb craving is low in the am!

Yes bored, but thank goodness for walks with the dog. Justice is in heaven with us being around all the time.

Today is the 15th anniversary of my eldest DD's death. I am glad she is with her Dad now.

QOTD: I watch the olympics sporadically and the winter games more than summer. BTW, one of my DDs used to work for the US Olympic Committee, then in marketing for firms associated with the Olympics so she has seem quite a few games in person. In the summer games, I watch swimming, diving and gymnastics. In the winter, many of the ski races as well as the bobsled and related races.

TSS: 3 years, 11.75 months

B: Coffee! WW zero point pancake

L: Sliced Ever Roast chicken and laughing cow cheese

D: Leftover WW 1 point bolognese and cauliflower rice

S: blueberry lemon pie, yogurt with strawberry compote, and/or WW 1 point muffin with blueberry compote

It's raining like crazy this morning so no walk for Lily ad I yet but hopefully we can get a couple squeezed in at some point. Yesterday we got 2 long and 1 short walk in. Can you tell I was bored and wanted to eat. Accountability was OK foodwise too. Switched and had 11/2 pieces of all meat pizza instead but ate less at lunch so calories worked out OK. QOTD I watch bits and pieces of Olympic televised events but have no favorites. The only sport I miss now is Nascar. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili D 4 oz brisket. No snack,Karen. Have a great day full of good choices! Time for the first cup of coffee!
