What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu, RNYers?
So far they are not closing borders so we are still in Arkansas, however that might change at any point if they tighten things up. At this point though,we're around fewer people secluded here than we probably would be at home. Plus it's warmer and there's still work to do. The next 2 six week projects have been cancelled so we'll have at least 6 weeks at home anyway.
Mornin' All!
well today I plan to do something with hand weights (last night I did squats, lunges, and pushups to cut down on the number of exercises I'll need to do with hand and ankle weights, which for some reason, I hate...). That Just Dance stuff on youtube sounds great, Sheila - I'll do that today, too. And yes - I'd be interested in your weekly exercise routine!!
I was also thinking I'd go get some boneless chicken breast and make chicken salad. DH is working from home now indefinitely (starting today), so I've got to make things that he'll eat. Also, it's now a treat to leave the house and go to the grocery store, so I"m looking forward to going. How much life has changed in the last couple of weeks...
Being retired with a spouse who's still working, it used to be easy to tell weekdays from weekends - (DH away - weekday. DH home - weekend). However, with him at home all the time now, it's going to be a lot harder for me to remember what kind of day it is. At least he went upstairs around 9:00 this morning to his "office". I'm used to peace & quiet in the mornings, and he was talking non-stop. ARRGGGGHH! I'm glad he's up there now so I can bask in the silence again...
QOTD: jigsaw puzzles, finally getting through some of these magazines and library books, and spending about an hour a day cleaning or doing other house projects are all on my agenda
accountability was great yesterday and has been for awhile, but weight is hardly budging. But I guess that's par for the course when your BMI is pretty normal - it'll take forever, unless I'm willing to drop down super low on calories - which evidently I'm not yet. At least I've regained control of my eating again - and have been exercising more (well, the latter until the last couple of days. This lack of a gym is killing me!!)
4 years 9 months out:
B: protein pancakes topped with 1/2 C plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 C blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
S1: Fit Frappe
L: 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with pumpkin yogurt
S2: probably L&F yogurt or a piece of protein pumpkin pie
D: either a Beyond Burger in a "sandwich skinny" or 1/3 of a small pizza (with a cauliflower crust)
those of you I'm FB friends with have seen both of these photos (sorry!). One is a picture of me a friend took at a holiday party this past year (so three months ago). The other is me trying to do yoga at home since all the studios and gyms are closed now. That pic is from two or three days ago

You and Grim are in the same place--retirees who just unexpectedly inherited work from home partners. I feel so bad for how much I am in his way right now :(
actually Greg was up in his "office" until around 2:00, with a short break for lunch. I went to grocery store then (at 2:00), and he wanted to go with me to get out of the house for awhile. When we got home, he went back upstairs for a couple more hours - and that was it. It worked out pretty well. I actually like having him around, it's just that I need a few hours of "alone time". I think once he retires (he's got a few more years yet) we should still be OK. I'm usually super involved in things and he likes to be as well, so we'll probably both be out of the house a lot during the day...
Crud - OH ate my post earlier, so I am just getting back to redoing it!
I did my WW meeting virtually yesterday. I was very impressed considering that it was the first time. Almost like being in the room!
DD arrived from Massachusetts yesterday to quarantine with us here. There were only 20 people on the plane flying south so they were well spread out. DS is giving me a hard time about going out to walk - he wants me to stay inside. The final counties with beaches open in Southwest Florida are closing over the weekend. We may go for a bit this afternoon. The one we go to is easy to practice social distancing on.
This picture is from exactly a few minutes ago:
QOTD: I am redoing the writing on my chalkboard backsplash, walking the dog frequently and we are going to scrub all the blinds this week. Nothing else planned...

I've been making that compote like it's going out of style! I must go through two boxes of strawberries a week - I have it on yogurt, on protein ice cream (twice), on protein pancakes (along with plain yogurt), and by itself with a couple tablespoons of light Cool Whip on top. I don't know what I'll do when they go out of season! I guess I can try making it with frozen strawberries..

Great pic :)
I think I will try to log into my WW meeting virtually tomorrow morning. My leader does not strike me as someone who is going to handle the technology angle, well, but we'll see! I haven't gone in person in 3 weeks, in order to avoid crowds, so I am eager to be part of a meeting again.
