Mornin' All!

Last night I picked up some Reuben sandwiches at a deli, and DH, I, and our two moms celebrated my late father's birthday at my MIL's apartment (Reubens were his favorite food). I miraculously only ate half of mine, so I was able to stay within my calorie range for the day (not the low end - but at least within range - I call that a win!). I just ate the other half for breakfast. Lots of fat and protein. I hope this'll keep me going for awhile since even a half of one is still around 400 kcal! I also went to the grocery store yesterday - it was great to get out for awhile. Hopefully getting out to go the store every three days or so will help - although this staying inside thing isn't bothering me as much as I thought it would.

today I'm going to unearth some of my hand weights (which I haven't used in years) and do one of the strength-training videos on youtube. I've built up some muscle in the last couple of months and don't want to lose it. I should probably do some cardio as well. Plus I need to clean the kitchen. A friend wants to get together Saturday evening, so I thought we could get take-out and eat it here at my house - but she's never been here before so I want this place to at least look presentable (at least it's looking better as I HAVE done some cleaning in all my spare time lately...)

QOTD: I never live in the past. What's over is over. I live in the future more than I'd like - as Jim said, I'm a little concerned about wishing my life away, so I do try to live more in the present - but it's hard. I'm a planner by nature so I'm always thinking, strategizing, and planning things for & about the future.

4 years 9 months out:

B: half a Reuben sandwich, coffee with half & half

S1: Fit Frappe

L: maybe 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with homemade pumpkin yogurt (???)

S2: strawberry compote with light Cool Whip. Or maybe some grapes.

D: not sure. I have a bunch of turkey meatballs in the freezer, so maybe that and some salad

have a great day, all!

This week will never end, it's just going to go on and on and on and...

qotd - I am typically a present dweller and an optimistic future planner but randomly I'll get pulled into mental threads on conversations from 20 years ago. I am presently convinced that this weeks will never end.

i do not really have a plan today but I have one more serving of leftover chili, I have cottage cheese so those are in the mix.

have a great day everyone!!

This week indeed, will never end.

I am taking tomorrow off. To just hang out in the forest with the kids, maybe? I hope you can take some time off too!

No time off in the near future but just realized that this afternoon I only have one on ones with my team, which is my favorite (plus one covid call) so at least the afternoon will be pleasant! That will help a lot!

Good morning JB and Menuers,

I have still not been able to get an exercise plan going for myself this week. I enjoyed the walks around the block last weekend and It's been to cold and rainy for me to get back out there. I hate that tread mill I want nothing to do with it.

Is anyone a survivor fan out there? I have never missed an episode since the beginning and this season is definitely not disappointing at all. Wow last night was so good. No spoilers I promise.

Jim mentioned yesterday he watched Knives out and that is on my list along with Mr. Rogers. However last weekend we watched The peanut butter Falcon and Joker. The peanut butter Falcon is awesome. If you have not seen it it is definitely worth a watch. I loved it.

My Real good Ice cream came yesterday. Yeah I'll let you know how it is when I try it.

QOTD: I definitely live in the present . I use the tools I learned from the past from deceased family member and friends to deal with the present but I never dwell on the fact that they are no longer with me. They all played an important role in making me who I am today and I just use the skills I learned from them to get through each and every day and thank them for all they taught me.

Accountability: I had one Keto cookie and I drank another coffee to cut down on craving and head hunger it seemed to help .

TSS: 2 years 3 Month 8 days 136.4 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato w/Miralax and Fiber

MS: Oikos cinnamon apple greek yogurt and mixed berries and Lite cool whip.

CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato

L: Real good food 2 cheese enchiladas, Aldi single serve hummus and celery

D: French onion meatloaf. and butternut squash.

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Exercise: walk through the neighborhood or on the treadmill whatever the weather has in store for me.

Everybody have a Great day!

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

I hadn't seen survivor in many many seasons but my new coworkers are super fan and one has tried to get on for 5 years in a row, so we are watching as a team, now. I haven't seen last night's yet tho!

I am kind of excited that the movie studios are finally looking at global multi platform releases (for now). I've seen it with indies but I think they'll target the bigger budget niche ones now.

G'morning all!

So...you wanna hear some horror stories from Italy? My mom is gonna be 80 in Nov. My SIL is an ICU nurse. I hear from my brother that they think my SIL has the virus. I panic and this is the convo back and forth:

  • Is Elisa quarantined?
  • Yeah, at home.
  • AT HOME? Then you can't go to mom's!
  • Are you planning on flying back?
  • Uh, no! Not any flights available.
  • So then I'm it.

He reassured me he wears masks, gloves and he washes hands. On top of that the woman we've had for years who cleans and cooks for my mom is no longer coming. Understandable, she is afraid and worried. So my mom is alone, and the only person who can help her is my brother who has a sick wife at home.

So I talk to my SIL, how's it going? How are you feeling? Fever, cough, body hurting all over, but she thinks she is coming out the other end. She has just turned 50 so she is not in the big risk category. I ask her did you take the test. And listen to this "they don't give the test to hospital personnel, only to patients"...what kind of f'd up rule is this? I'm assuming they figure if they test the personnel half of them is asymptomatic then they have to send them home. So they are risking it by just making them work. I was so upset for my family. In that house in addition to my brother there are also two nieces (21 & 25). So I guess they are still in the midst of this and this thing is not going away soon.

Sorry for the pessimistic view but jeez I am so freaking mad.

QOTD: good question. For certain issues I keep beating myself up for decisions I made in the past. But most of the time I'm worried about the future, not in a fatalistic way but in planning it and changing it constantly. I guess with this shelter in order we are more forced to live in the present.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: Protein coffee
  • L: 2 Costco chicken skewers + Fage yogurt (I added some everything but elote and paprika to the yogurt and made my own version of tzatziki sauce for the chicken - very yum)
  • S: 2 egg thins + 2 oz of turkey breast
  • D: Tuna pouch + 2 hb eggs
  • E: 6 miles wog

Happy jr Friday, everyone.

Wow your going through a lot. I am sorry to hear this i****ting you so hard. I read everything but maybe I am confused if you have a 21 and 25 year old nieces can't they go and stay with your mom? Or are they in quarantine? My mom is 81 and lives on her own so I feel for you keeping you in my prayers.

The whole house is in quarantine. And my brother, due to special cir****tances with my mom, has special permission to leave the house and visit her.
From what I hear the shelter in orders over there are more rigid and restrictive. You can't go out for ANY reason, unless it's grocery shopping or pharmacy. And only one person in the family can do that. It's not like here where they allow you to go out for exercise. Only those who have a dog have a special permission for 1/2 hr a day to walk the dog, otherwise no outings.
