What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Happy Monday, Everyone! I hope you all had a restful weekend! I have been so low-key stressed for over a week, that I finally crashed yesterday. I took a 3 hour nap in the middle of the day, and still went to bed on time. I woke up feeling so much more rested than I have in ages.

The last thing we heard on Friday was that our office was never going to close, there would be no option for remote work, we would have to take a sick day to be out, and 5+ sick days required a doctor's note. Over the weekend, though, we got an email saying to come in on Monday for a staff meeting where we would discuss what remote work would look like IF we ever did close... So maybe some baby step in the right direction? I'm very curious to see if they are going to change their minds after Fridays' meetings where they yelled at us and told us this was no big deal, but then proceeded to shut down our schools for 6 week. Okay...

Accountability: Safe space, right? Yesterday was a disaster.

QOTD: If you are quarantined and unable to leave home for a month, what will you miss the most? I just generally love people watching... And of course, I will really miss my Starbucks and going to my favorite taco place!

Good morning JB! Glad you got some rest; I think understanding the new (interim) normal will help bring down everyone's stress level. I hope your staff meeting is less than 50 people!

QoTD - people watching is big for me but I think I will miss my pilates and yoga classes. Since those are all non-contact, by design people are 6 feet apart, and they had very good disinfection protocols before global pandemic, I am still going until they cancel/close. I did a cardio 2 class yesterday and I am moving like an 80 year old today, all my muscles are sore (but that's good).

I am thinking optimistically and I have a southwest credit to use before end of June so I've booked a flight to my sisters and (short) trip to Portland Maine (Maine is the only state I haven't been to). Definitely a few months out though.

menu today is

B - 4 oz ever roast and .8 oz cheddar cheese slice

L - 1 serving chorizo green Chile left overs (this will be a staple on my menu this week)

D - carbmaster cottage cheese

Ss - half and half in my coffee; 2 light and fit greek

You are going to beat me. I've been to 48 and will hit 49 when we go to Mississippi in two weeks. But North Dakota continues to elude me.

There aren't a lot of reasons to visit North Dakota unless you have a person there. One of my college roommates was from Minot so that helped!

i did find out (on my flight back from the DR) that they have a crazy cool international peace garden that crosses the US and Canadian border so maybe that can be your reason to visit!

Oh, maybe after all the states, I should do all the provinces!

Good morning all! Woke up this morning with my head feeling like it's been hit by a truck. Ugh! So I was able to get everything I needed to work from home downloaded on my laptop, but I cannot log into any of the systems. It keeps saying my log in credentials are incorrect and it's the same damn ones I use to log in at work so I know that is not true! I am curious to know how many of my coworkers are having the same issues or if it's just me. Guess I'll find out today. We are supposed to have a meeting today to discuss what the game plan is gonna be. Other than that the scale is still slowly moving in the direction. Oh and I tried the mocha flavored fit frappe for the first time yesterday. I drank it hot and it reminded me of hot chocolate. So delicious!!! Can't wait to try it over ice next!

QOTD: probably just being able to go out as I please.....eating out, shopping, just a quick run to the store to pick up something if need me.

B: premier shake

B2: coffee w/Splenda

S: yogurt w/banana

L: salad

S: some almonds if hungry

D: baked salmon and broccoli

Good Morning! I probably should have taken a nap but instead I just kind of did some cleaning around the house and we did watch some shows we've had on the DVD that we hadn't started watching yet (For Life). I've been stressing about work stuff too, meetings this morning so should know more after that.

Good morning menu friends! Going a bit crazy cooped up in my little moving house but at least the eating is staying on track. All this virus stress but my youngest sons struggles after getting hurt at work are really making it extremely hard right now. Our youngest Sam works as a tree and shrub specialist for True Green and tore his ACL at the end of June. Even though he filed the proper paperwork for workmens comp the company never submitted it and kept him working walking and dragging hoses for 10 hour days 6 days a week for 3 months. He finally got a lawyer so the company sent him to a doc in a box who put him on light duty. Workmans comp insurance company paid him TTD payments for 2 months untilthey sent him to another doc(paid by them) who said he was fine and could go back to work. He claims he had this before even though he never took a sick day in 3 years working for the company and his knee is now severely swollen after 20 minutes standing on his feet. His lawyer sent him back to the doctor who will do his surgery *****fused to charge him a copay as he said he is getting the shaft from everyone. He wrote a note for no work til further notice and is trying to get insurance approval for a new MRI as his changing symptoms may mean new damage and some functional capacity testing to see if he can work light duty or if he needs surgery now. Such a drama. If you have True Green lawn service please drop them. They don't care about their employees or their customers either! End of rant! Hopefully his lawyer can get and submit the paper so he can get short term disability payments ASAP. All of this drives me to want to eat and yet there's not anything I can do to help. So I'll stay away from the sweets anyway. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.2 . Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili D 4 oz whatever protein hubby cooks. Have a wonderful day full of smart choices everyone!
