What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
on 3/15/20 5:24 am
Morning everyone! I had a late start this morning because Grim dragged me out of bed and into the car (before coffee!) this morning to go to a 24 hour Walmart. He was sure it would be dead at that hour. We got there before 5am only to find that they are no longer operating 24 hours a day. We came back at 6am and there were billion people. Its nuts out there. I kept thinking to myself that I have officially seen more people during this quarantine than I ever would have on a normal Sunday. SMH... But other than going to work, I am confident that I won't need to leave the house for anything again for a long time.
No menu today--I came home and organized the fridge into three categories by expiration date, and I really need to be strategic and not let food go bad, like I often do. So I haven't made a menu from my top tier foods yet, but there is sure to be fruits, veggies, yogurt, and chicken on the list!
Accountability: Meh again. I didn't eat badly--just wasn't vigilant about weights & measures which is how I always get myself into trouble. I did go for a nice long walk in the sunshine yesterday though :)
QOTD: What have you lost that you wish you could find? I lost a coat that I can't find. I guess I must have given it away and completely forgotten, but its been my fav winter coat since post-op, and I miss it!
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Morning! Day two of social distancing may include super exciting things like cleaning the coffee pot and the fridge! I know you're all jealous. I also need to mop our hardwood floors. I had been avoiding it as they were "finished in place" and therefore sealed over, but the winter has separated them some. But, they need to be done so I'm going to use as little water as possible and hope for the best!
QOTD: While trying to remember something I lost I just remembered that my FSA receipts that need to be submitted are currently in my office that I'm not supposed to be going back to for 3+ weeks. That's going to pose a problem for sure.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x2
- Yogurt, Granola, Berries
- Turkey, Cheese, Olives
- I haven't decided what we're having for dinner but it will either be leftover Lasagna from the freezer, or maybe we'll do hot dogs.

QOTD: I cannot think of anything I have lost that I wish I could find.
Things here have settled down, thank goodness. We went to the grocery store last night. Sheves are somewhat bare but we found everything we needed and there were no lines.
I am still stress eating. We are good and all healthy, but I hate being cooped up and not being able to watch sports!!
I am a teacher and we are off for at least one more week. I bet it ends up being longer. I am thankful I will still get paid. My heart breaks for people who cannot work and are worried about paying their bills. I hope all of this blows over soon so we can get back to our normal routine.
I am up a pound since last week, but am determined to do better today. I am still down 13 pounds with 17 more to go. I am feeling better after my surgery and walked 2 miles last night. We were dog sitting 2 dogs for friends this past week and they have both gone home. We love them, but it is a lot of work taking care of 2 extra dogs.
I am watching more TV now than I have watched in a long time. It is weird. I am not good at relaxing so I need to work on that.
Happy Sunday, everyone!!

People here in Florida are gathering in small groups more rather than less. It is an interesting phenomenon. 8 of us drank some wine and talked on my neighbor's lanai last night.
SIL was going to get up early to go to the store today. I went at 6:30 am yesterday. She thought when I said I was going early that I meant 9 am. She just got up to do her "early" shopping (it is 8:40 am).
ETA: DS is an Executive Chef at a country club on Cape Cod. He was told last night to start laying off staff. Very difficult.

Good morning, everybody!
Marilyn comes home today. I believe that the horrific pictures from O'Hare are only for incoming international flights, so hopefully she does not get caught up in any of that. I do have to clean up the messes that the boys made while I was asleep last night.
Marilyn's third tennis trip in May has been cancelled. It sounds like they are debating whether to go to Kiawah anyways and just not play tennis. That trip is the same weekend as the Kentucky Derby. I haven't heard whether that has been postponed yet. I think I will post a picture from our trip last year for some cheeriness on a cold March morning.
We are scheduled to go on Spring Break in a couple of weeks. At this point, I am thinking that we will go. We had planned to drive, stay in an AirBNB, and tour outdoor Civil War battle sites, so it seems as if we are just as socially distanced in Tennessee as we would be in Illinois. That is assuming a relatively easy access to groceries, etc.
QOTD: Amy Liz.
Breakfast: Chaffles
Lunch: Ham
Snack: Orange
Dinner: ham
Have a great day, all!

Good Sunday morning.
i had quite the rude awakening at 5 something. My cat Percy bolted off my legs sinking one of his back paws into my right thigh. Leaving 3 lovely bleeding scratches. I then heard that all to familiar lurching of a cat expelling a hair ball. Fun fun...LOL. I cleaned everything and tried to get some more sleep but couldn't.
I also had a high pain night. Ugh. You just never get used to it all the way.
qotd:hmmm not sure about this one. Does my mind count? LOL

d:???

Good morning all! I'm sooo excited as my package of fit frappe just arrived yesterday and I can't wait to try it!!! Yesterday was a busy day. Took my cat to the vet for his checkup, fought the crowded grocery stores and met a friend for lunch at Olive Garden for our monthly meet up. So my accountability wasn't the greatest since I had soup, salad and one breadstick. But I did eat very light the rest of the day so hopefully it came close to equaling out! Also met up with my brother, his girlfriend and our cousin for a movie and that popcorn smelled soooo good, but I had self control and settled for a bottle of water instead. My brother and his girlfriend just got back from vacationing in San Diego and they brought me back the cutest tote bag souvenir! I needed a new tote for work so this is perfect! I'm so glad the scale is continuing to go back in the right direction! At one point I was at a 7 pound gain and now I'm at 2 pounds so hopefully it keeps going down! I'm currently searching for a gym to join. I'm getting bored with my treadmill routine at home and I think changing it up and perhaps going to a gym might keep me motivated. We shall see.
QOTD: My high school yearbook that has been missing ever since I moved. So many times I've wanted to look up certain people, old friends or people who have passed away over the years.....just take a stroll down memory lane, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it and hope it didn't get thrown out accidentally! I'm also missing a graduation gift that my great aunt gave me. It was only a little trinket, but it meant so much coming from a special lady like her.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
S: fit frappe
