Mornin' All!

the seriousness of all that's going on has really sunk in. Pretty much my whole life for the next three weeks has now been cancelled - meetings, lectures, classes. I've been reading lots of articles about the overwhelmed healthcare system in Italy and how things here will be even WORSE (due to fewer resources per person here) if we don't force this thing to roll out gradually by keeping people away from each other.

we're easily fine for two weeks as far as food goes (in fact, this might be a good way of getting through all this crap that's currently in my freezers and cupboards), but I think I should stock up on (wait for it....) - toilet paper. NOT A FRICKIN YEAR'S SUPPLY like some of these crazy people are doing. But I'm afraid with these paranoid people out scooping up every last roll, there won't be much left for the rest of us when we go out to buy our typical four-roll pack. So I'll get enough for a week or two and store it in case we're quarantined. Certainly they can't quarantine people for more than two or three weeks (???) (and I mean officially quarantine - as in force people to stay home rather than just recommend they stay home). And then I'll just continue to buy only what we need when we need it.

Costco was a zoo yesterday afternoon - and so was Aldi's. Although I wasn't there to buy toilet paper or frozen pizzas, I noticed Aldi's was out of both. Plus a lot of the frozen entree sections were empty. People are really going crazy.

I have both lunch and dinner out today, so this is going to be a huge challenge. I may get the turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich today and eat half of it - and get the raw vegetables as my side. For dinner, I dunno. We're going to some Italian place. Nothing on the menu looks very bariatric-friendly, so I might go for some pasta dish (which I otherwise NEVER do) with a yummy-looking meat-based sauce and just focus on the sauce.

QOTD: probably coffee as well. I'll buy a couple of pounds of beans when/if I hear we're going to be officially quarantined.

Good morning y'all! Happy Friday, (freakout Friday around here at work...)

QOTD - It's boring, but I will hoard pet supplies. Dog food, cat food, cat litter, pee pee pads.

Breakfast - None, fasting until lunch

Lunch - Ugh, no idea. Having some issues with my tummy, took some omneprazole but not sure what's going to go down and not hurt. I may just have a fruit smoothie.

Snack - Peanut butter and banana smoothie, with oat milk, hemp seed protein and chia seed

Dinner - No clue. Possibly leftover vegan pizza from dinner last night.

The picture is of one of my FAVORITE lunches. It's from a local place called Singhs, and this is hands down the best vegan Bahn Mi in town...

Good morning JB and Mneuers,

Jb you can not be any cuter and the thoughts of not having enough food in your house is your former fatness thinking. You can survive on whatever and I am sure none of us is going to starve. I Go to Aldi every friday to pick up my ground turkey usually its me and maybe 2 others today I had to fight for parking. These dumb asses are driving me crazy! However social distinsing was not a problem at the gym last night. I was the only one in the eliptile area and the whole place smells like a bleach bomb went off. Little did I know the governor said don't go to the gym. But I am pretty sure he meant everybody but me so I'll be going agin tonight without hesitation. We have no cases in my area so until we do I am not worried.

QOTD: M&M'S of course. But coffee makes me want to get a Bed Bath and beyond order in today since I got a $20 off coupon. I'm already stocked up on creamer. The store had a deal get 3 ID creamer for $6 couldn't pass it up.
