Good morning JB and Menu folks. I tried to post a couple of times yesterday and was pulled away each time. Work has been getting in the way far too often lately.
QOTD - Ryley received notification that SUNY was pulling all students back to the US. There is an option of signing a waiver. We do not have information other than that and do not know what is on the waiver. We are not considering the waiver at this time. I started to look at flights to bring him back and they are outrageous from Germany, much higher than his flight to Germany. With that being said my anxiety level is not that high, just trying to decipher information. I am worried about my folks, as they are social butterflies in Florida and I would like them to stay diligent and wonder how things may change when I go to Florida to bring them home in April. My Dad has Parkinsons and is 76...

a lot of schools are doing that now. They have that waiver because they can't really FORCE anyone to come back, but if the students decide to stay, the school doesn't want to be held liable if they happen to get sick. SO....I'm guessing the waiver says that staying there was their choice and they agree not to hold the university responsible if they get the virus.
he's really young so he's probably not at huge risk (if he gets it, it'll most likely be a mild case), but then, it's kind of a crap shoot. Let us know what you guys decide to do...
Morning! Boy, COVID-19 has kept me busy over here. I work in IT at a major university who will likely be going remote starting next week or the week after. We're hopping preparing ourselves and our teams and then also prepping for a million faculty who have never taught online courses!
QOTD: I'm being blasted in the face with it all day, every day so it's hard not be anxious. I'm not anxious about my family's health but I'm really worried about the economic impact and what it means for people's jobs.

Wow--best of luck to you guys as you head into uncharted territory with the online learning! Its amazing that the technology exists, but I am sure it is at the expense of a lot of hard work from people in IT to make it happen...

QOTD- I'm at about a 1, as tomorrow I'm going to Disneyland. Unless I have to reschedule due to my Mom. She had a bout of vertigo and vomiting and was admitted to the hospital yesterday. They said she has a stomach flu, but don't know about the vertigo, they did an MRI but nothing showed up on it. So I need to figure out if she will be going home today or what is going on. I did get the cancellation insurance so it should be OK. Except I really need a vacation....
The time change alway****s me really hard. On Monday I pretty much bit everyone's head off, and yesterday wasn't much better. I have to get it together today, do some laundry and pack and finish up the projects I can at work. My flight leaves at 6AM so we need to be there by 4AM...
Accountability stunk yesterday a coworker brought in some brownies yesterday that were so addictive, I should have just walked away but they called my name....
Have a great day everyone! I hope to be in the Magic Kingdom by this time tomorrow....
