Hey Kids. I am in a rough place this morning. I had to go to my old school yesterday and I was immediately flooded with a lot of things that upset me, deeply. I spent about 3.5 hours there in the afternoon, and then spent the ENTIRE night stewing about it. I barely slept at all, until about 3am, when I shut off the alarm and them let myself sleep until 5:30am.

Accountability: Small pouch day!

I had to laugh about the answers to yesterday's QOTD. Apparently we all fall into Team Starbucks or Team DD! Who knew?!

QOTD: When you are having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better? I was such a mess last night. Usually talking it out with friends helps, but I was not up for it.

Good morning all! Yesterday wasn?t perfect eating wise, but it was a lot better. Today through Thursday I?ll be working late to get caught up on work that we are behind on. So I?ll need to bring some extra snacks in case I get hungry. I will be working until 7 instead of 5 which will throw off my whole eating schedule since I?m used to eating dinner before or by 7 at the latest. I try to eat nothing past 8pm. However, that is going to be a struggle these next few days since I won?t get home until closer to 8. Ugh!

QOTD: I normally keep to myself and self soothe by listening to music or watching a good movie or comical show. Or sometimes I will just go to bed early and sleep it off.

B: premier shake

B2: coffee w/Splenda

L: salad

S: Either a L&F yogurt, another premier or some almonds

D: salmon and broccoli

I remember a while back you said your mission was to do an early workout to have it done for the day. Were you able to implement that into your routine. I still can not grasp giving up extra sleep for exercise.

yummm, funnel cake!!

i don't usually buy into the whole time change + full moon+ week ending in Friday the 13th + mercury retro grade but yesterday may have converted me. It was rough...last week I had to remind my boss that we only control our response to other people's idiocy, yesterday I had to remind myself...sadly that was after I ate 3 cheese sticks in a row. Soothing with food is still an issue but I'm working on it. So glad I stopped keeping protein bars that I like in the house! I'm hoping today is better for us all!

JB, I am sorry you still have to deal with your old school, they put you through so much, I'd be surprised if you don't have some type of fight or flight response just walk ting through the doors. Hopefully, you can get back to calm and steady by reminding yourself you did all the right things and tried your best for the kids.

qotd - well, apparently I eat cheese sticks. Really though, I will watch some soothing TV (Great British bake-off) or lose myself in a book, sometimes venting to my sister but a lot of times I wait to vent until later. I also will have an entire conversation in my head with all the inappropriate things I wouldn't say...and then I don't need to say them. I did that yesterday and also watched a colleague's on the Spring Baking Championship on food network. That was fun!

Menu today is

coffee and half and half x 3

b - carbmaster cottage cheese + 2 oz ever roast deli chicken

l 3.8 oz Italian beef leftovers and slice cheddar

s - mini built bar

d - 2.8 oz smoked cheddar

s - L&F greek

100 protein/1070 calories/30 carbs

i have cardio Pilates tonight which is my favorite!

hope everyone's tuesday is terrific!!

Ha yes I was driving home last night trying to listen to a podcast but I kept having to rewind because my head was filled with comebacks and fake conversations that I was fantasizing about.

Also, I WANT TO GO ON A BAKING SHOW! Who is your friend? I will watch!

Yesterday was the first episode of the season, she's Val Criado and had a ton of airtime, because she's adorable (she's the one from San Antonio).

Good morning, everybody!

I thought I had a good day accountability wise, but the scale is up this morning. Maybe because I ate dinner late? Marilyn is heading out to another ladies tennis vacation on Wednesday, so I will be trying to hold down the fort with the boys while she is gone. Last time that she was away, my youngest took it upon himself to clean the kitchen, which I truly appreciated.

Yesterday, I managed to leave the house without either my phone or my computer. Quite a feat. I was able to get a backup loaner to use my email during the day.

Chrissy was right about the scrolling. I'm editing away, now.

QOTD: Not a strength here. If its a mildly bad day, usually Marilyn will be able to cheer me up. Worse days, I tend to lay in bed at night stewing (Not recommending that as an approach).

Breakfast: ham and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Ahi tuna salad

snack: orange

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Good morning menu friends! Got a load of laundry started in the lodge across the way so thought I'd take time to check in. Miss Lily and I will head out in a few for a walk to the camp entrance and back as woods are too wet and slick after yesterday's storm. We did manage to get 2 walks in around the rain and food was good too. Weight is 120.2 today. Spent the day yesterday crawling around on my knees pulling up incorrectly applied baseboard and removing nails and helping repair the flooring. QOTD go for a walk or spend some time knitting. Actually though,I'd like to eat that funnel cake! My natural instinct still is to turn to food and I suspect that will always be the case. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c cheesy broccoli soup D 4 oz of whatever protein hubby picks. I do need to drink more today so that's the goal. Have a great day full of smart choices everyone!
