What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu, RNYers?
Mornin' All!
I'm going to yoga with a friend later this morning, then ??? I'll need to get some cardio in sometime today, too, I guess. Maybe a brisk walk if the weather holds out..
So I think I'm going to continue with my plan to go to Italy in mid-May (the tour company is waiving rescheduling fees if we act by the end of next week and reschedule the trip for sometime within the next 12 months. BUT the airlines are only waiving re-booking fees until the end of March so we'd be out a few hundred bucks between the two of us. GRRRR. But I'm thinking the world can't stay in limbo forever. Right now the CDC is urging people who are returning from high-risk areas to self-quarantine for 14 days after returning. I can do that. DH was really upset about that last night and wanted to cancel the trip rather than self-quarantine, but seriously, what's the issue? So what. He can work from home. Self-quarantine could soon become the recommendation no matter where you're coming back from, depending on what happens with this virus. So it's either comply or don't make international trips. I'm OK with complying... (I think he is as of this morning, too)
accountability was OK yesterday - I did go over my 1500 kcal, but not by much. And no bad food choices.

I'm expecting to hear a recommendation to self quarantine after any travel soon so given you are both healthy, why not still go!

that's what I'm thinking.
I listened to a podcast on A1 (NPR) last night about the virus -- they had a panel of medical people on. Someone called in and asked about a cruise in Italy in May - her husband has some kind of major health issue and she was wondering if she should cancel. One of the panelists said given his health issues, it might be wise to cancel - but they didn't say anything about otherwise healthy people. I'm not afraid of the virus. They say most otherwise healthy people are having mild cases if they get it. And I'm OK with self-quarantining, too.

Such a pretty boy!
I think that since I work in education, we are just getting a lot more warnings to stay in our bubbles and not to risk being carriers, even if we aren't worried about being sick, ourselves.
I don't even think we are going to go ahead with our trip to FL next month, let alone Italy... :(
Good morning JB and Menuers,
We made it to Friday yeah for us. I had to do blood work this morning and it went really smooth. The only thing the lady doing my draw smelled like a big cigarette. I am usually a hard draw and she nailed it the first time. I think I'll let her odor slide since she was actually exceptional at her job.
I am getting my nails done today at lunch, it's payday, and I'm going to the gym for the 4th time this week. Life is good.
Accountability; I have stocked up on favorable snakes baby carrots strawberry and I made that butternut Sqoodle dis last night I was hungry while cooking so I ate the health snakes but didn't eat the meat I should have for my protein. I need to add what I ate to MFP to see how far I was off yesterday.

Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I walked 11/2 hours this morning and did over 4 miles straight uphill. Hiked to the top of Hot Springs mountain to the observation tower. The trail was extremely steep and narrow and right on the edge of the cliff. Did I mention I was terrified the whole time? And to start the trail you walk on big sto8across the creek with water running under your feet. Lily had a great time though, and we both got a great workout!Pics to follow. Not bad for a 60 year old ex fat girl and an arthritic 11 year old dog! Accountability was perfect yesterday and weight is 120.2. Heres the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili D 4oz baked chicken.
