Hello, my RnY friends! Happy Wednesday!
Super Tuesday was a bit of a suprise - I thought Biden had a decent shot, but he definitely out-performed expectations! I feel a bit sorry for Warren, who has tried so earnestly to present her vision. It's got to be crushing to have come in 3rd in her home state. Maybe Biden will ask her to be his VP? Unlikely, but that would be interesting. Or Klobuchar, or Stacey Abrams. We will see!
I made a top round roast (pot-roast style) the other day, and am still working on it. The really great thing about it is that it is so very filling, so quickly. I have been waiting for at least 45 minutes after a meal to drink, and since I made this I've felt pretty much constantly full. My weight this morning was 127.2. I'm happy with that number!
Today the sun is shining and it's gorgeous out! I am so tired of grey skies and non-stop drizzle. Sunshine feels so good!
First: 3 big mugs of Peet's Major Dickison's coffee, with cashew milk, a little cream, and Jordan's Mint Chocolate Chip SF, carb-free syrup. Other than it's green color (odd in coffee), it's delish, but my fave is still their Salted Caramel.
B: some of that top round, with a couple of carrot pieces cooked in the same pot
L: more of the same, with some diced tomatoes and chiles.
D: unsure - maybe turkey.
Have a joyful day, you guys!
QOTD: I had 2 roommates in college. One I got along with really well. The other talked constantly, even in her sleep. I don't like anyone talking to me when I first get up and she paid no attention to that.
I called the hospital where my son is requesting to talk to his nurse. She was always with a patient and didn't return my call. Finally talked to a social services person. She had spoken with my son and said she didn't think he was understanding he couldn't come home; she said I needed to talk to soon and explain his options. When I got to the nurses' station the nurses were standing around together talking. Anyway, I talked to him explaining why he can't come back and needs to get help. I don't want him homeless but not living with me when he drinks. He needs to take care of himself.
I'm pretty stressed. DH is still at the hospital. Insurance decided today they need more info re his situation. I was so hungry but decided not to stop anywhere. Got home, made a salad with grilled chicken. Then, I noticed the box of Teddy Grams. I ate one serving and kept eating another and another until they were gone. I did share with the dogs.
