What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
I enjoyed the how you met your mate. Brightened my day.
QOTD: I was a widow and had decided to start dating. There was a local paper that had a section where you could call, leave a description of yourself. The other person would see your "ad" and call and leave a message including a phone number. You then had the choice to contact them. I had met with several men and they were mostly frogs. I had decided I would call this Max guy since he had left me a message then I was done. Well, he turned out to be such a nice guy and we have been together ever since. That was 1992.
My morning was so stressful. I went in my son's room and he had a 1.75 liter bottle of Vodka in his hand, almost empty. I couldn't rouse him. I called a mental health crisis hot line and they told me to call 911 which I did. So embarrassing to have these public servants come in to take of someone so drunk plus he stunk so bad.
I will NOT let him come back. I was told I have to get an eviction notice filed. Crazy that he rarely ever provided any money that I have to file to keep him out.
I did go to a lunch and learn for caregivers. Lunch was taco salad and I did not over eat. Got some good info for dealing with my husband's recent surgery and his recovery. He also is in the beginning stages of Dementia so got some info on that.
I went to Sams Club for more Fair Life Protein drink. They only have chocolate but it is the best RTD I've ever had. I looked at protein bars, but way too many carbs and I didn't want to buy a box when I've never had them. I've been burned on protein bars before.
Eats today:
Fair Life protein
Taco salad
Click shake
Laughing Cow (2); Good Thins crackers; banana
Grapes maybe (I sprinkle SF Jello powder over then and freeze; very refreshing.)

I admire how you have been able to stick with your plan as you go through difficult times.

QoTD - I met my relationship of 5 years or so now online as I had left a long term marriage, (15 years). My ex frequently says he can't believe the things I have done since leaving my marriage, (WLS primarily). My partner and I are very different but share some strong interests and the differences help us balance one another out.
I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. We have no known cases of the virus in my state; however, given the long incubation period and contagious nature, I can see the impact it has had on many local stores as well as online, where many things are currently sold out or on back order. I am trying to keep things positive for my family and encourage them in the ways we can promote health. I am not sure if this is a virus that can be put back in a box at this point so like everyone else, just waiting to see what happens next
I am increasing exercise, taking my vitamins and trying to eat protein forward. My weight is down just a bit, probably due more to the exercise than eating. I realize everyone is different but it seems like many posters exercise quite a bit and diets/calories vary - trying to learn what I can to apply for good health. I can only hope that someday I am so active as some of you!
