Good morning JB and Menu folks. It is Taco Salad Tuesday! LOL

Had a phone call this morning from my son in Germany, the CDC has recommended that Students that are studying abroad return to the US. It is not a mandate at this time, I read the announcement and found it to be vague. His University has been in touch with him , provided guidance and instruction on hygiene and has told him that he does not need to worry about a potential "lost" semester if he has to return home, it will work out.

QOTD - My wife and I met at a Bar in Canada. She asked me to dance, and the rest as they say is history. I pursued more after our initial meet. Our first date was a Hockey game - Montreal vs the Blackhawks. We will celebrate 27 years of marriage in October. 32 years together.....

B - Ketone shake

L - Salami/cheese

AS - Ketone Shake

D - Taco Salad or taco casserole...

E - 3 mile run

Stay healthy my friends, Mike

so is he going to stay in Germany? I haven't really heard anything about the coronavirus in Germany yet - although it's going to be pretty much everywhere at some point. So I'm not sure if he'd necessarily be any safer here than he is there. Hmmm....

I believe that Berlin just had their first confirmed case. I just have to remind him that he needs to practice good hand washing hygiene as well as try to keep his hands clean and sanitized as he is using public transit for 90 minutes a day. I am hoping he is able to stay. Spring break at the local universities starts on 03/14 and a large percentage of the students are from NYC, I am sure that may add to the precaution locally. As well as our close proximity to Montreal, we are a weekend destination for Montrealers.....

Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I have 3.7 miles in and will do more later today. Accountability stunk as I got my steps in plus some but snacked on nuts and popcorn before bed. Better choices today. Weight 120.8 today. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili D 4 oz burger with cheese and no bun. QOTD met hubby through a personal ad back in the day when that was safer. Actually a friend answered his ad and they went on a date but didn't hit it off. She then hooked us up and the rest as they say is history . Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone! And that means me too!

QOTD- No current relationship, I've not had good luck and at this time I'm not interested in finding anyone. I really need to work on myself and until I can love myself there isn't any point in looking. I've spent too many years expecting a man to complete me, honestly no one can do that but me. The one man I believed was the love of my life kept me hanging on for 9 years and then dumped me. I don't want to ever love anyone that much again, it almost destroyed me. I have too much emotional baggage, I'm a rape survivor, my first husband was abusive and even though those events happened years ago, I still have PTSD and react to triggers that sneak up on me.

My NP is getting advice from a psychiatric NP for the next attempt at an SSRI, not sure what is up next. I just hope it is something that works. I can't take much more anxiety....

I need to go to a meeting, so have a great day everyone!

Hello my RnY kindred! Happy Super Tuesday!

Reporting to you from Seattle, currently the glowing US hotspot for the new Corona virus. I went grocery shopping yesterday, and the lady who checked me out seemed rattled and disturbed, very unlike her usual sanguine vibe. "People think it's the end of the world!" She whispered to me. Disinfectant sprays and wipes, of course hand sanitizer, and various other similar items had completely vanished from the shelves. Even jugs of bleach were nowhere to be found. Many people here are on edge. Me, I figure I will be careful and alert, wash the heck out of my hands (Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday!), and carry (and USE) wipes. I'll stand away from others, avoid anyone sniffling or sneezinng, etc. Avoid big crowds. I'll make myself up some alcohol-based hand sanitizer since that has vanished from the market here and online. (3/4 parts ethanol - or at a minimum 120 proof vodka or grain alcohol like Everclear, the higher the proof the better; 1/3 part aloe vera gel; some essential oils for uplifting fragrance if you like). I also will buy stuff like bulk toilet paper and paper towels, tylenol, tea, coffee, 3 more months of thyroid medicine and vitamins; cat food and litter, shelf-stable stuff like tuna and soup, etc. I hope that all of this is entirely unnecessary, but I figure that I'll use it all regardless, eventually. I'm not too worried about myself, though it's crapshoot. But I am healthy overall, yay! Rather, I am a bit concerned for my son and DIL, both of whom work in huge, busy offices in downtown Seattle, where they both have heavy levels of interactions with the public everyday, and large numbers of co-workers. But they are young, which is good! Hopefully the rest of you are

QOTD: I met my ex-husband one night when we were both in school (different schools). I was sitting outside of my apartment practicing a song, and up he walked; the rest is history.

Currently I am re-starting a romance with a guy who got back in touch with me on Valentine's Day, after a pause of several years. I really like him, and his family as well - his is closely intertwined with an old and amazing American art family, people whose work and admire wildly - generations of artists and illustrators whose work I have always loved. Anyway, he is accustomed to, comfortable with, and supportive of creative people, and very open to being involved with an artist, which to be honest not everyone is. The downside is he lives 3,000 or so miles away! He lives in a beautiful, unspoiled seaside town on a long, narrow barrier island in NJ, 3 blocks from the Atlantic and 2 blocks from the bay. NJ is where we first met and dated, way back when - literally - maybe 25 years ago. But I have a pretty good feeling and am not fearful of distance-related problems in this instance. We will see!

First: tea, tea, tea!

B: I made a top round roast yesterday, so that!

L: see above

D: probably tuna

Have a beautiful day, my friends! And to those of you in a Super Tuesday state, don't forget to VOTE!
