Morning. I think I had my first experience of having something "stuck" this morning. Which is just super weird since I'm over 3 years out at this point. I took my fist full of vitamins (plus my Janumet and Tamiflu) this morning and then decided I needed to stretch my hip whi*****luded some child's pose. All of a sudden I had this weird pain/pressure in my chest and I figured it was how I was laying. But, once I righted myself it didn't go away and I had waves of nausea and all kinds of burping. The chest pressure was scary. It's been 2 hours and it's finally gone. It's so strange that, of all things, my vitamins that I take every single day without fail did that to me! I guess I won't be inverting myself post taking them anymore.

QOTD: I'm a great baker and cook. I like baking because it's really just chemistry and I like that modifying a recipe while baking requires you understand how all the components of the recipe work together and what addition/subtraction of them might do. I love cooking for the exact opposite. It's not exact and you don't have to worry about making changes.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x2
  • Sweet potato and egg
  • Ceviche left over from going out last night w/ sour cream
  • Turkey Burger, Cheese, Mayo & Broccoli

My mom had taking a vitamin for years and one day at work it went down horizontal instead of vertical. They had to take her to the ER because it was stuck. She is not rearranged. I do pay attention on how I place larger pills in my mouth and put the far back so they don't flip around. Hope you are filling better.

Good morning JB and Menuers,

OMG If I had to be anywhere at 7;30AM and it took me two hours to get there I would have to plan for weeks. I am not good at super early. I don't even wake up till 6:30. Except last night I pretty much was waking up every hour with from leg cramps. I think it was from the walk I took yesterday and it had a lot of hills. I finally smartened up about 12:30 and chugged a gatorade and they finally subsided. Next time I will drink the gatorade before I get the cramps. Sometimes I think I drink too much water and flush some of the important stuff (electrolytes) out.

QOTD: I am very good at both. Grew up in an italian household with a polish mom. I can kill it when it comes to cooking just about anything. Hence the being obese for most of my life. But now I watch my carbs and my pouch is small so it absolutely tells me when to quit or I do get sick.

Accountability: I did have 2 cookies and last night I tasted some butter cream icing and it made me sick. That will learn me. But I did take a nice walk in the neighborhood and did not play the sloth all weekend like last weekend.

TSS: 2 years 2 Month 20 days 136.4 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato w/Miralax and Fiber

MS: Oikos salted caramel greek yogurt and strawberries and a Sargento balanced break.

CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato

L: 2 Real good breakfast sandwich w/clery and Aldi single serve Hummus.

D: Dinner out again (Lord Help me) Probably Shrimp santorini with a greek salad and veggies .

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Exercise: Please pray I at least do something this weekend other than slot like last weekend.

Everybody have a Great week!

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

QOTD- I love baking, not so good at cooking. I'm a follow the recipe kinda girl and not so good at modifying things. My roommate wants me to make oatmeal raisin cookies, but I've resisted because I know what a temptation they are to both of us. He had RNY in October and really shouldn't be eating them, but I refuse to be the food police, I just don't want to be tempted myself.

It was my roommates birthday on Saturday, he's 14 as he's a leap year baby. So we went to Dave and Busters and then to Joe's Crab Shack. Friday night was not good, with the addition of wine I was not a very nice person, and need to stop this sh*t.

I watched my Seattle Dragons lose another game, I DVR them so I can fast forward through the commercials. Disappointed about the loss, but at least it is football.

Spent a lot of Sunday at my Mom's with my roommate working on her computer. She managed to let someone hack her computer again and she needs a new mother board since they hacked the bios as well. So after 4 hours with no fix, we brought the computer home and he will fix it there. I'm so frustrated with her, we have had to replace her computer twice already due to hacks, and we thought she had learned. This time it was more like a ransom wear attack, but she called the number on the screen and gave them remote access to her computer, so they have everything again... This time he is creating a ghost drive so he can more easily restore her computer if she does it again. I know she is 84 but she used to work on computers at Tektronix, so you would think she wouldn't keep doing this...

I'm struggling big time with anxiety and need something to help with it. I tried CBD oil, and I don't think it really helped much. Next drug up, not sure what it will be....

Loved the cat picture, it made me laugh and laugh....

Have a great day everyone!

Hey menu friends...

My weekend was so nice and relaxing and I feel like it was a good refresher but my job is making me feel SO STRESSED OUT lately. I got promoted to a managerial position in early November and since then, 2 of my direct reports have opened FMLA claims, one of them is a new diagnosis of breast cancer and the other has a whole slew of medical issues going on so they are both very unreliable...then 2 of my employees are only 3-4 months into the job and are still very green, so I am having a really hard time keeping up with all the work that is not getting done since I am ultimately the only person to cover for all of it.

I am trying to find another hire but there are slim pickings from the resume's I've been getting...I mean I work in a medical office in insurance verification and authorizations/referrals and I have an interview set up tomorrow to fill a position...she's the only person that has responded to the ad in 2 weeks that hasn't canceled or had a shady resume, and she's been a bartender for the last 7 years with NO medical office experience at all. *sigh*
I need a break, I need a vacation...I couldn't even take time off for my DH's gallbladder surgery without having to work from home. I knew it was going to be a lot but the lack of employees showing up to work is making it WAY harder.

All I can do is continue to show up and do my best I guess...the CEO and HR director keep checking on me to make sure I'm not going to up and leave LOL.

QOTD: I am a pretty great cook and I am good at creating new flavor profiles and improvising a lot, which makes me a less great baker LOL. I can follow a recipe just fine but I always find myself wanting to tweak things and it doesn't always turn out great haha.

B: coffee w/SF coffeemate
1/2C overnight oats w/unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1/4C L&F greek vanilla yogurt, cinnamon and blueberries
L: leftover meatloaf and 1/2 small sweet potato w/herb butter
AS: apple
D: leftovers- either turkey taco salad or more meatloaf
ES:celery & tuna salad if I want something savory, or with peanut butter if I want sweet :)

Beautiful day here and should be all week.

QOTD: I've been cooking since I made my first cake as a kid. I'm an avid recipe collector and enjoy making new things. Also love baking but refrain from doing too much because I can't eat a serving and forget about it, especially cookies.

DH is still in the hospital. I decided Friday after seeing him struggle that he needed to go to a facility for rehab. No way could I handle him at home. He was doing well and then today had an episode with his heart. BP was 197/199 so he is wearing a monitor and was moved closer to the nurses' station.

My son, an alcoholic, is acting so strange. I don't believe he is drinking but he stays in his room, door shut and sleeps. I talked to him last night and he said he was planning to look for a job today. I think he is deeply depressed, but don't know what to do. I suggested rehab but he doesn't want to go. I'm trying not to stress and so far I'm not eating my feelings.

Made Eggface's granola today making 4 times the original recipe. WWs says its 4 points for 1/4 cup and that's about what store bought granola is, but I know what's in this. I use about 2 tablespoons in my yogurt.

Eats:

cream of wheat

Click shake

air fried chicken strips

Greek yogurt w/granola; banana

?? when I get home from work
