Morning everyone! Hope you all had a nice start to the weekend. Grim and I went out to get our quarantine supplies yesterday. We were not the only ones!--the lines at Costco were at least 20 deep and into each aisle. I hope we don't end up needing it but it feels crazy not to be a little bit prepared... I tried really hard not to get anything that I would not normally eat and I paid attention to the points on everything, even if the plan was for that food to be part of the emergency supplies.

Aside from that shopping trip, I followed doctor's orders and kept my foot up for most of the day. We binged that awesome new series on Netflix called The Stranger. Highly recommended!

Accountability: A Cadbury Creme Egg jumped into my mouth. That little sucker was EIGHT points. Dammit. I was over for the day... :(

QOTD: Do you ever gamble? There is a big new fancy hotel/casino in Boston and I was invited to a brunch there in a few weeks, and I am interested in seeing the fancy hotel and the brunch, but not in the casino part at all. I didn't even put a penny into a slot machine when I was in Vegas... I'm just not interested.

Grim and I are making breakfast together this morning! I am in charge of pancakes, and he is in charge of bacon :)

Good morning! It is 40 here in Southwest Florida this morning! But the wind turns around and dies down today so it will be 75 by mid-day and 80's the rest of the week.

Thanks for mentioning The Stranger. It sounds like something I will really enjoy as I like Harlan Coben books.

My SIL left for a week at home early this morning and my friend arrives for a 3.5 day visit this afternoon. I'm going to try to be as accountable as possible, but my WW goal this week will only be to not gain.

QOTD: No I never gamble. I don't even buy lottery tickets and my investments are super conservative. I might try going to a casino with DD sometime though as she likes to do that and I never have. DH could never handle the noise and lighting even before he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's so we never tried it.

TSS: 3 years, 11 months

B: coffee, WW Zero point egg and banana breakfast that I found on my WW group's FB page

L: Sliced Ever Roast chicken and laughing cow cheese

D: Out so probably some sort of fish

S: ??? (Don't know where I'll be or what I will be doing after airport pickup early afternoon)

Morning! It's sunny and cold this morning here. I think that our house is over the flu now and we can start returning to normal. Kid #2 has been fever free for at least 24 hours at this point and universe-willing she can go back to school tomorrow. I won't lie though, I did enjoy the permission to work from home all week. I guess if we all end up in quarantine I can look forward to that again? Yikes.

QOTD: I have gambled twice in my life (and I'm about to be 37). Once was for my 18th birthday. We lived near a Casino on a reservation at home in NY. I think I spent about $6 at the slot machines. Maybe not even that much. I've also been to Vegas once and I played at a $5 bet Black Jack table where you could bet with the dealer (ie: you could bet the dealer would win). I spent went in with $40 and came out pretty much even. The free drinks (this was before my WLS) were more fun than the gambling if I'm honest.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x2
  • Eggs, Cheese, Broccoli
  • Turkey, Cheese, Olives
  • Going out for Mexican. I don't have a plan yet but probably something shrimp or chicken.

Good Sunday morning.

I had yet another horrid night. I broke down and took a second Tylenol 3. In my grogginess I forget you're supposed to take it with a little bit of food. My stomach has been upset for the past few hours are so. Not horrible but uncomfortable. I'm super tired, groggy and grumpy.

QOTD:I have gambled once in my life at a casino/hotel in Billings, Montana. I maybe spent 5 bucks and I've got no desire to do it at anymore all.

Mornin' All!

I blew it with eating yesterday. I don't even want to think about it. Not bad choices, but just WAY too much food. But all I can do is get back at it today. I'm going to a UW men's basketball game today at 5:30 with a friend - what a bizarre (and inconvenient!) time for a game - so I guess I'll eat dinner beforehand and then take a protein bar with me to the game. I hate dealing with these weird schedules!

I also need to exercise (weights & cardio) and swing by my Mom's to check to make sure she has all the paperwork she needs for her tax appt. She's freaking out about it. Her taxes are really straightforward, though, so I can't imagine she doesn't have everything she needs.

QOTD: I've gambled twice. The first time was when I was in college and was out in Reno with a friend. I won $250 in a slot machine. Afterwards I bet a couple of times (small amounts) on Keno but then gave up - I didn't want to lose my "big win"! The second time was here in Wisconsin shortly after the Native American casinos started opening up. I went in with something like $10 and told myself once it was gone, that was it. And that's what happened. To be honest, I never saw the thrill. I noticed all the seniors sitting in front of slot machines putting in coin after coin - hour after hour. I figured some of them were probably using their social security money in hopes of getting more. It made me kind of sad....

TSS: 4 years 8 months

B: protein pancakes with 1/2 C plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 C strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit frappe

L: salad with diced turkey and light dressing

D: something that'll hold me over through that game - maybe 1/2 C protein oatmeal topped with pumpkin yogurt and 1/4 C TJ's High Fiber cereal??

ES: protein bar

have a great day, everyone!!

Welcome back and to WW. I was dealing with a lot of life last year and gained 20. I started back to WW in mid-December to gain some control in my life. I'm down 15, under my WW lifetime goal, and slightly less than 2 pounds over my WLS goal. I like the new WW plan a lot.

Busy weekend for us. Sarah had a lacrosse game in town on Friday night and a friend of ours met us there. We went out to eat afterwards. Saturday morning I went to WW. Yesterday afternoon we went to the Houston- UConn girls basketball game with friends and then had to rush to a sportsbar close by the watch the second half of the Auburn game. We did not have a good game yesterday

Today I need to do yardwork. Thankfully it is a nice day today.

QOTD: No, I don't gamble at all. I love Vegas, but I don't even gamble there (or drink). I like the shows and the atmosphere.

11 years out from RNY

Goal: lose 30 pounds of regain (13 down, 17 to go)

Plan: Using WW.

My scale victory today is that my visceral fat is down to 10% which is back into the "acceptable" range. My goal is to get it down to 6%. I know my overall fat percentage will probably always be higher than average but it is mostly in my boobs and hips, which does not affect my internal organs, so I focus on the visceral fat.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!

Hey weekenders!! I missed what happened to your foot JB, but definitely follow doctors orders. When I fell last week, I intentionally didn't see a doc, cause I knew I wouldn't follow what was sure to be overly conservative orders (IMO). Had I went I'd likely played nice.

yesterday I spent time shopping with my sons. I've been need to upgrade my work wardrobe, a lot of it I've had since losing most of my weight 4+ years ago. My tops gradually became so casual, I wanted some more sophisticated feeling stuff. I shopped at Ann Taylor (first time ever- I'd talked myself out believing I could fit their stuff every single time I walked past it). Between there, Burlington and Marshall's I got 6 new tops.

so I've been working on the increased calories based on my RMR results. This week was rough, I had started losing nicely, then gain, gain, gain. But my cycle was on this week and I had a lot of swelling thanks to my fall. Today I dropped nicely, and expect the same for tomorrow. So I'm gonna keep on.

Qotd: I don't gamble in any sort of regular pattern. I saw my parents spend tons on the lottery- and never win in correlation to what they spent. when we went to Las Vegas we we surprised the machine don't accept coins. Ehh, I can think of better things to throw my $ away on.

today has been a chill day. Clothes washed, ironed and picked out the weeks outfits. No idea what's for dinner...shrug.

m1: egg, bacon, cheese stick 1/2 Belgian waffle

m2: bourbon chicken chunks, salad
