Can you get the sleeve surgery after you have had the Roux-en-Y?
It will NOT, as long as you are eating exactly the same as you were before the reversal.

Also renewed- strength ( extra strong and medication resistant diabetes ) Truly frightening.
personally I'd be taking supplements like crazy ... walking every day and consulting with that Cleveland clinic. Hugs and best wishes
I would also recommend she have a virtual consult with Dr Ara Keshishian in Pasadena, CA. He specializes in revisions, complex abdominal issues and traditional bariatric surgeries, including the hard to do DS. I ended up having surgery with him (even though I lived out-of-state) and he was able to correct a few issues that were contributing to my underweight status post gastric bypass. I am normal BMI now.
My point, like others have also shared is that getting 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinions could lead to more ideas on what might be the best path forward. It doesn't necessarily mean the OP will have to pursue surgery with those out-of-state doctors; it's just about finding the right diagnosis. In my own case, I spoke to numerous physicians and went with one that had extensive experiences with out-of-the-ordinary situations, after he consulted with my other physicians and reviewed all my medical records and imaging, and tests he ordered too.

I googled "virtual consult Dr Keshishian" and this was literally the first result that popped up. Not difficult!

I DO like tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, avocados, onions, green beans, pinto beans, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, cabbage, lettuce, lemons, turkey, chicken, duck, shrimp, lobster, crab, salmon, mussels, but not fresh water fish, beef, pecans, cashews, walnuts, almonds.
WASNT THAT FUN!!
Ok, being diabetic, beer is nothing but carbs!! If you had gone through the classes I went through with my doctor you would have learned about what to eat and not eat. The surgery is not a magic fix you have to change your lifestyle as well as the surgery! It's just a tool. No soda, no sugar, no carbonated drinks, no alcohol, no bad carbs. You should be eating only good carbs, like non starchy veggies, and for fruit, once a day in the early part of the day. You need to switchbto water. Plain water, there are many good, no sugar flavored waters. But NO beer! The surgery won't help if you don't change the rest!!
So take it you didnt read what I said...or what others have commented about. Yes....my dr and I discussed foods, nutrition, what to eat..what not to eat..what to drink and what not to drink.I went to classes...It took me a year to do what I was suppose to do and needed to do...before having this surgery. People eat what they like to eat.....they dont eat foods they dont like. Alot of foods they recommend..or say you should eat...I dont like. So I ate portions of things that are acceptable that they recommended. I stopped drinking beer way before my RNY......and also got the go ahead to drink an occasional beer if I wanted to. Yes beer is carbs....and it didnt make me gain weight when I had the RNY....or while I was 128 pounds...I was drinking beer and still losing weight...I lost 25 pounds in 7 months......then I got to 103 pounds..and then I had the reversal..so....figure that one out if its the beer...Oh..by the way...I stopped drinking beer months ago.
