What's on your Thursday menu,RNYers?

I don't mind that we missed the snow storms (although I worry about what it means for climate change...) but I hate how ridiculously rainy and dreary it has been since October.
My new commute has me on public transportation more than ever and I have been juggling an umbrella and needing to figure out puddle-proof shoes almost every day. I can't remember a drearier fall and winter in my life!

Hi all, late post today! I kicked off the day with an 8:30 am appointment with an ENT. He put a long tube with a light on the end up my nose and into my throat to see if I have allergies or reflux or why I have had two major colds this winter and have had sore throats in the morning. It was so uncomfortable and awful and meanwhile he was making me look at it on screen and pointing everything out - "see that? Those are your tonsils. That's your uvula" etc). I wanted to yell "just take a look and pull that sucker out!"
He thinks it's allergies, and I have to continue my regimen of Singulair at night, and two nasal sprays during the day. At the end of the appointment, he asked "Do you have a cat?". I said "YEP and she's going nowhere!". He laughed and said, "well cats carry a lot of allergens" and I said, "Oh well". LOL
Today's eats:
B: 4 oz ever roast chicken, 2 oz goat cheese after my iced coffee
L: 2 Sabatino's chicken sausage with artichoke and mozzarella. I got them at Costco, hope they are good!
D: Out with a friend - haven't decided on what from the menu. There is a chicken fajita salad, crab cakes, and other items
Have a great day, everyone!
QOTD: Spring...flowers, sun, more daylight although I detest daylight saving time.
I'm in the hospital waiting room. TH is having surgery on his ankle. Bones will be screwed together and tendons strengthened. Surgery should be done in about half an hour.
Brought a Fair Life protein drink and a protein bar. The hospital is so full he will probably be kept in recovery until a room is available. I will go home and eat.
I have a huge problem and that is my son who lives with us. He is an alcoholic and is getting worse. No job, no insurance so rehab is limited. There is a facility available but he refuses to go. Somehow I have to get him out of my house.
So much stress but I'm trying not to eat because of it.

Hellooooo my friends.
It's already 2pm so I am pretty late today but I had some things to get done this morning and now I have a minute free...
Story's head is healing and she is her regular *****y self so now I am just concerned with her having a weird scar on her face lol...it's actually not too big though so I think it will heal just fine.
I did not make great choices yesterday and ended up deviating significantly from my plan when someone brought in potbelly sandwiches for a meeting. I ate half of a turkey on whole grain which was not a terrible choice but then I ate a cookie. It was just a half at first because their cookies are enormous, and about 2 hours later I just went back for the other half and then I felt pretty gross the rest of the afternoon.
I made myself a low carb quesadilla with some leftover turkey taco meat for dinner and had some freeze dried strawberries...then I decided to eat some chocolate animal crackers at about 8pm.
I really need to stop buying these because I cant control myself.
I usually buy treats for Story that I don't really like so I am not tempted but these damn things are addicting!
I was not surprised to see the scale went in the wrong direction again this morning but at least I know what to blame.
This brings me to the QOTD: DAYLIGHT...because when it's light out I feel much more motivated to be active and get **** done! I miss the light so much in winter, even more than the warmth...I am thrilled that it's finally started to remain light out long enough for me to get home before sunset again.
Morning: lots of coffee & SF Vanilla coffeemate
B: 1/2C overnight oats w/sf vanilla almond milk, L&F greek vanilla yogurt and blueberries w/cinnamon
MS: apple
L: turkey taco salad (I actually ate it today finally lol)
AS: Protein bar
D: don't know, again...DH is supposed to cook but may be leftovers again since we still have a ton.
Trying to avoid snacks tonight!

Hey all, struggled with a weight gain spike (combination of my getting careless and sloppy and also oncoming menopause), so eliminating sugar and most carbs and pulling back to basics. Charting food and praying for willingness to let go of excess food. Already weight coming back off. Whew! This tool works if you work it.
b. 2 poached eggs, 2 tbsp roast veggies, 1/3 apple
sn. Plain yog, berries, bran buds
l salad and chicken
sn. Quest cookie (not terrible!)
d. Salmon, roast veggies, 1/2 apple.
3 soya lattes during the day.
mfo says calories about 1300
the quest cookie was unplanned, and was stress eating. Got some unexpected work piled on me and got a bit overwhelmed and panicky. Still eating my feelings. Sigh, but realize its progress not perfection.
as for spring? My favorite thing is the woods just outside my door. Walked them yesterday and the sun had a teeny bit of warmth in it, glorious!
