Hi friends! Awesome news today, after being stalled and bouncing around within a one-pound range, I'm down a bunch this week and I HIT GOAL THIS MORNING! Whooo!

I think I'm going to try and lose another 10. I've got quite a bit of tummy and thigh jiggle that's not just empty skin and I feel like I should try and get rid of that. But I'm totally happy here, I'm in a size 6 and wearing mostly smalls now, and I feel really good.

Today is pretty boring. One conference call this morning, then a bunch of Excel work all day. Forgot to bring my sneakers so no exercise on my lunch break, oops.

Accountability: All good! Exercise was cut short, though; Nolan was being grumpy at the gym childcare area so I had to go get him after about 20 minutes.

QOTD: There's a salon downtown called "The Coyote Wore Sideburns," it's in a little old house painted blue and yellow, super fun!

Chow:

  • B: Egg bites
  • L: Something from the grocery store, probably salad with chicken
  • D: mini meatloaves?
  • S: Greek yogurt, cashew-date protein bar

Exercise: Planning to go swim laps at the gym tonight

Hi JB and everyone!

Walking in the rain all day sounds like the pits. It's supposed to rain and be windy here too. I think we have had one inch of snow so far this year.

QOTD: I can't think of a restaurant, but there is one very large sign along the highway outside of an industrial park that always makes me wonder. It reads: "Granite Tile's Outlet". Seriously? No one at the company OR the sign manufacturer realized there was an incorrect apostrophe???

B: 2 hard boiled eggs mashed up with 2% cottage cheese with Everything But The Bagel seasoning (after my iced coffee)

L: The last of the rotisserie chicken! In some form, not sure yet...

D: Out for date night so TBD...maybe crab cakes!

Have a great day, all!

Good morning, Happy Wednesday everyone!

QOTD - I like the name "Barrio Barista". It's a local coffee place, two streets down from my house. It's on the west side of San Antonio, and it is thriving. They do amazing things with coffee, they have a barbacoa grilled cheese, and so much more. I don't do the coffee drinks (because milk) and I don't eat the barbacoa, but they DO make an amazing basic cup of coffee and the vegan veggie tacos kick ass.

Breakfast - fasting until lunch, so hot black coffee it is.

Lunch - something from my favorite local vegan place. Either a vegan quesadilla with fries, or the special, lemon "chik'n" with rice and broccoli.

Snack - fruit smoothie, (frozen frui****er, oat milk, chia seed, hemp seed protein)

Dinner - Not sure, perhaps some hummus with veggies in a wrap.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

There is a restaurant here in SA called "Pho Kim Long". I'll let you sound that one out...

I stopped by the grocery store on my way home, and as soon as I put everything away I heard the patter of raindrops on glass. I probably should have just gone walking anyway, instead Last Tango in Halifax called my name and I changed into my warmest PJ's and plopped myself in my recliner and watched a family that is so much more dysfunctional than my own. It kind of puts things in perspective.

QOTD- Wanker's Corners, used to be a feed store and pub and bar. Now it's moved and is just a bar that you throw the peanut shells on the floor. Hung Far Low, is one everyone laughs at. Having a college team Oregon State and the state called the Beaver state that isn't a name that bothers me.

The scale needs to spend time in the corner, with a dunce cap on it. It has not been good at all, how do you go up 2lbs in one day??? Here I thought we were becoming friends again.

Have a great day everyone!

Well, Yesterday was great up until We took Story to a make-up class for dance last night after work. At the end of class the instructor lets the kids "free dance" for the last 5 minutes or so and she loves to get crazy. She and another kid in the class were running back and forth and she slipped/tripped and slammed her face into the side bench/cabinet along the floor.
I am so grateful my DH was with us because he RAN in that room in less than one second and was on it...meanwhile as soon as I looked at him and saw her blood everywhere I PANICKED HARD. I had no idea what my own name was or what to do.
Luckily another mom there is a nurse. when she took a look at her, she said she didn't think it would need stitches but to keep pressure and ice on it for a while...it stopped bleeding by the time we got her home...we gave her a popsicle and all was well but I was definitely in shock. I was shaking, nauseated, the whole shebang. that was the worst injury she's had since she was born, so we are definitely lucky but OMG I had no idea I would react that way. I cannot count on myself to keep it together if something like this happens again and I always thought I was the level-headed one!

Needless to say, I didn't even eat dinner because I wasn't hungry before we left for dance and after she went to bed and I had time to calm down all I wanted to eat was animal crackers and pretzels...let's just say it was not pretty.
Luckily I managed to somehow be down another lb this morning, so the water is helping. I'm planning to keep that trend going today.

QOTD: we had a Chicago style hot dog place called "Weiner take all" for a while near my high school...I don't think it's there anymore but we used to go a lot when I was a teenager.

Morning: all the coffee w/sf coffeemate
B: 1/2C overnight oats w/sf vanilla almond milk and vanilla L&F greek yogurt, cinnamon and a handful of blueberries.
L: my turkey taco salad that I never ate last night w/ 1tbsp sour cream and hot sauce
AS: apple
D: not sure- DH is cooking, or maybe leftovers again since we still have a lot...
I might have a protein bar for a late snack if I get hungry.

Happy Hump day!
