Thank you! BTW, I stayed in a low weight range for 3 years post-WLS and didn't start gaining until caring for my husband became more and more of a challenge. I knew I wasn't eating/drinking properly, not weighing or tracking (I am back down to a couple of pounds above my WLS goal now). Doctors like to speak in averages but most of us on OH have already surpassed the averages.

Good morning menu friends.

I'm feeling so awful today. The winds were extremely high yesterday and tons of dirt in the air. My sinuses are screaming out today. Now it is 16 degrees outside and windchills in the single digits. Thankfully we don't have to be anywhere until one this afternoon I am so very very tired and my cats were a pain in the ass all night. I can't keep my door shut when it's this cold but man I wanted to!

today looks pretty simple, just an appointment with my case manager.

qotd:we have a nickname or two that I find kind of weird. Bomb city is used in a lot of store names as well as yellow city.

Mornin' All!

I love the name of those two restaurants! The only one I can think of around here with a funny name is Pho King Good (which sounds a lot like F**king Good...not sure if the owner realized that when he came up with that name or not!)

Well I'm glad I weighed myself yesterday because as predicted, my weight is up a half pound today (lunch out - too many calories and too much sodium) - but I still had a drop from last week, so the eating/exercise plan is working. Back to it today... Other than good eating, I'll be going to the pool in about 45 minutes for water aerobics. I also have some errands I need to run and I need to work on some stuff for the organization I chair. I also plan to make chili today (for DH's lunches the rest of the week) and maybe some cottage cheese, too.

4 years 8 months out:

B: protein pancakes topped with 1/2 C plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 C blueberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: vegetarian Italian "sausage" in a FlatOut FoldIt wrap with sauerkraut

AS: 2 Costco chicken skewers, 1/2 C strawberry compote with 2 T sugar free Cool Whip

D: 1/2 a Beyond Burger (in 1/2 "skinny" bun with lettuce and light Thousand Island), salad with light dressing

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning JB and Menuers,

Well today is DH's Birthday so I guess the plan is to celebrate for the next week. I gave him a card and Lottery and some sweet treat (banana flip) this morning to tide him over till I get home form work. Tonight we have dinner plans at a nice restaurant near our home. As long as you sign up to their mailing list they give you a free Birthday dinner so we go there for both of our birthdays. They have some great crabcakes and chopped salad, but their pot roast is to die for. Crazy to have pot roast on a menu for a fancy restaurant but most nights they run out so why not.

QOTD: We have a place near work called "The Garden of Eating" it is a very good pizzaria that was taking off my list of go to's after my surgery.

Accountability: Great the only snacks I had was 2 grape tomatoes and a blackberry and a spoon of vanilla bean hummus

TSS: 2 years 2 Month 15 days 135.8 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato w/Miralax and Fiber

MS: Oikos Blueberry greek yogurt and Berries with homemade fruit dip and a spoon of Vanilla bean Hummus

L: 2 turkey meatballs texas roadhouse green beans

D: chopped salad pot roast nachos and some fish dish .

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Exercise: not today

Everybody have a Great day!

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

I have seen those "dessert" hummuses (hummi?) and can't picture a sweet chickpea mash...how do you like it?

Not terrible. 2 tablespoons is only 60 calories 9g carbs and 6g sugar So better than I mini snickers to kill a crave. I bought it to dip strawberry but you gotta spread it it's thick not like regular hummus
