Morning friends!
I'm back again, heading to a meeting in a few minutes but stopping in for a quick check-in.
Somehow I managed to gain 3 lbs overnight. I stuck to my eating plan and even skipped one of my snacks so not sure what's going on unless its water retention. I did have a lot of sodium yesterday so drinking my water today and hoping it'll be gone in the morning.
QOTD: I used to write in a journal frequently throughout my adolescence and young adulthood...through my 20s and I do still sometimes do it now but not regularly. I started bullet journaling when I started my pre-op phase to help me organize thoughts, appointments & ideas and prepare me for my life change.
Every so often I will find one of my old journals and read through them just to remember how different I was.
I also jus****ched a video by Imomsohard that talked about how she found her old journal from middle school and read it to her kids to show them she was not always old but it was mortifying lol...I kind of like this idea--keeping old journals to prove to your kids that you were an awkward kid once too.

and now, off to my meeting!

I gained 3 overnight too. I was not awesome the last two days but not like "gain 3lbs in a day" bad... Fingers crossed that if we drink some water, the scale will act accordingly!

Hi menu peeps!
It's been a busy few days. Thursday - Saturday I was teaching at a conference all day, with company-provided food (and snacks) and yeah, I went off track. Plus no exercise because I was so exhausted. Stepped on the scale expecting to be up by a few pounds... And I'm actually down by two and broken out of this stall. WTF?
Saturday I took Nolan up to the aquarium in Phoenix and we spent the whole day. We had a blast! Saw lots of fish, touched a starfish, and even got to feed the stingrays. So cool!
Yesterday, I got a comp day (for working Saturday) and despite my plans to do a long bike ride, I was lazy. Took a nap, dyed my hair purple, played a bunch of songs on my electric bass, good times. And now it's back to the grind!
Accountability: Yesterday wasn't too bad, I'd say 80% on target. Went to Chili's and had fajita meat instead of something carby, got in all my fluids, didn't exercise but that's OK.
Chow:
- B: Greek yogurt
- L: leftover pork fajita meat
- D: hot wings
- S: havarti cheese, cashews
Exercise: Going to hit the gym after dinner tonight and take the kiddo with me. Depending on the time, I'll either go swimming (if the Aqua Fit class is out by then), or do a "brick" workout, spin bike then running. Also hoping to do C25k on my lunch break.

Hi Julie:
On Crossfit.com Friday February 21, 2020 there is a video recording by a Nutritionist, Georgia Ede. Its kind of long but deals with a lot of things you may find interesting: data analysis, epi studies, meat, etc.
