How awesome was that. And the guy had quite a story of his own with the Kidney disease. Glad Carolina is giving him royalties from the shirt and donating to a kidney fondation in his name. Always great to hear a feel good story in this day and age.
HW 299 SW 290 CW 139 GW 140 2/08/2019 OPERATION: Surgical Hernia with excision of total surface area of 55 x 29 cm of abdominal skin.
We had a similar story with two Blackhawks goalies going down and an accountant who played in a beer league had to step in.
I can't remember where the emergency goalies sit - it may be the press box and they could go for either team, if needed.
Agree with Chrissy on the feel good story.

Good morning! My first call starts in 5 minutes so I'm rushing a bit, I slept until tbr alarm went off at 430 and I'm only on my second cup of coffee! JB, it sounds like you will have fun and a challenge ahead of you with your three schools! If anyone can help them, I know it's you!
Mmmm, baconplants would be yum! Here's some carrots Grim would like too!
menu today is a bit up in the air - cottage cheese, ham, L&F for sure, I have two Pilates classes tonight so not sure about dinner.
have a great day everyone!

Nope, Italian Dressing has too many ingredients for Grim and some of them are green! He would never touch that...even if it was not in the shape of a carrot.

Mornin' All!
well that snowstorm they were calling for has been called off. It's going to hit east and south of here instead (sorry, Jim...). If we get anything at all, it'll be like an inch. Thank God. My life is back on track...
Today I'm having lunch at a Cajun place with some friends (for Mardi Gras), then Mah Jong all afternoon. I'm going to see Bobby Seale speak at our local community college this evening. So...busy day (for a retiree, that is...). I did weights and cardio yesterday - may go over to the gym this morning for another round of cardio.
my official weigh day isn't until tomorrow (and I've vowed to start checking just on that day rather than daily because the fluctuations were getting to my head), but I weighed this morning in case I'm affected by the sodium at lunch today. Down 1.8 lbs since last week. YAY! I know it'll slow down after this (I'm anticipating 0.5 - 1 lb a week), but that boost is a great motivator!
QOTD: I kept one off and on when I was about 14, but I threw it out when I was in high school or college because I thought it was corny. Now I wish I hadn't. I had to keep another one for some class I took during my first master's program (in counseling) and still have that - but I skimmed through parts of it one afternoon a couple of years ago and died at how ridiculous and immature it sounded (I was 22 or 23 when I wrote in it). I can't believe I thought some of the things I thought. That was the one I needed to toss! I need to get rid of the damn thing before I kick the bucket and someone finds it!
4 years 8 months out:
B: plain Greek yogurt with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: I think I'll get the barbecued prawns with the "miso-roasted Brussels sprouts with ginger-peanut sauce" (this is one of those "small plate" places, so I should be OK calorie-wise - if the portions are bigger than expected, I'll bring some home)
AS: probably nothing
D: vegetarian "sausage" in a Flat Out FoldIt with sauerkraut
have a great day, everyone!
Hi all,
JB, I am so glad your job is is a good one. After the hell you went through last year...you deserve some normalcy.
I am flipping out y'all. We spent a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money on the 8 of us going to Italy on April 5 and well, if you have seen the news, there is mass panic about international travel, a global pandemic, Corona Virus spreading...this does not make me think to cancel the trip but I worry that everyone else will not feel the same. FINGERS CROSSED.
Nope, no journals here. My mom did save a bunch of letters and cards from when I was a kid and we read them a few years ago and they were HILARIOUS.
Hey, does anyone have a dinner idea for me? I have leftover rotisserie chicken and while in theory I should have an idea of what to do with it (seasoning or sauce or???) I am literally drawing a blank.
B: iced coffee with half and half and sugar-free syrup, the last of the king crab (4 oz) + mini avocado
L: Cheese folio wrap from Costco with dijon mustard and rotisserie chicken (I tried the folio for the first time yesterday and it's good! It's basically a thin sliced circle of cheese. So you could actually just buy cheese and use it as a wrap, but still, it's tasty
D: the last of the chicken - have to make it "exciting" somehow...
E: My favorite Zumba class. The instructor is a little heavier AND pregnant but man, she brings the energy!!! She is phenomenal and she pushes me to kick ass!
Have a great day, everyone!
Let us know what you decide to do. I'm going to Portugal this summer and starting to get nervous.
