What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 2/25/20 2:00 am
Shout out to my Grim, who might eat a "vegetable" if this was the definition...?
Happy Tuesday! I will be celebrating with the traditional fish taco for dinner ;) It took me 3.5 years but I finally seem to be able to tolerate salmon, post-op, so tonight will be a salmon taco with Trader Joe's Island Mango Salsa on a Low Carb Tortilla. I have been having a lot of these taco creations since moving to WW, and it's a great quick, satisfying dinner.
Today begins a whole new phase of my job, which I am excited about! Out of the 35 schools that I am responsible for, we have identified 3 who are struggling the most and need intensive support. So I am now going to be focused on those schools and out of the office and housed all day out at the schools at least 3 times a week to coach the principals. I am not looking forward to driving to these schools every day, but I am excited to get my head out of the spreadsheets and to start being a part of the school community again :)
Accountability: Yeesh, yesterday was a bad day for no good reason... I had a few handfuls of cauliflower crackers and 2 pieces of dark chocolate. I went over my points. But at least I was nice and active! Lots of walking in the beautiful sunshine.
QOTD: Do you keep a diary/journal? I never have. I received a few as a kid over the years and started them, but never kept it up.
Exercise: I am not in a rush this morning so I think I will log some time on the stationary bike before I leave the house and then I hope to go for a walk on the beach before I get back in the car. The school I am at today is in East Boston, right along the shore and it's going to be in the toasty high 40s again!

Morning from flu land! I'm still managing to hold it off, I think. Still running a very low grade fever but otherwise feel fine. I was whooped last night and went to bed before 9pm. Jon took the midnight med schedule which was nice. Kid #2 is on the couch this morning and so far she seems pretty okay. She's the one who started Tamiflu before the flu showed up and I think it's helping!
QOTD: I have always wanted to keep a journal, as I find them fascinating to go back and read but I never stay on top of writing in it for more than a few days.
My Food:
- English Muffin, Egg, Cheese, Bacon
- Turkey, Cheese, Cucumber
- Chicken Curry or Stuffed Shells - I need to query to see what they'd like. I made homemade chicken noodle soup last night and they both actually ate so I think I can go back to my menu plan for dinners I think.

Good morning menu friends.
i am up...for some reason. Man I'm tired, I've been up an hour already. Not much planned for the day. Thrift store is the only thing my mom wants to do. Walking is getting a little hard at times. If I was a bit shorter I could lean on the baskets but I can't.
qotd:at one point I tried and my brother read it(I must of been 11 or 12) and since that I don't. I've tried but I just can't keep it up. I've even tried note one(I think that's the name) on my iPad but alas...still didn't keep up.
food is still up in the air. Cabbage will be cooked today with turkey smoked sausage...lots of onion & garlic. That's about all I know of. Most likely a PP shake with raspberries for breakfast.
hope we all have a good day!

Good morning menu friends! Got up early to walk with Miss Lily but it's a torrential downpour so no exercise for us. Supposed to be a rain/snow mix for the next day and a half but we'll keep an eye on conditions and try to sneak in walks when and if we can. Accountability was perfect stepwise and food wise yesterday and weight is 120.6 today. QOTD nope I have started one several times but don't stick with it very long. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili D 4 oz pork loin. Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone! Time to find breakfast and start the coffee.
Good morning everybody!
We are supposed to have snow today. I have heard anything from 1 to 14 inches. So basically, I have no idea what to expect. I have two meetings in the office today, so hopefully I can catch the train and a taxi from the train station.
It's Bear Day today. I need to be a robust, growly bear this morning, but right now I feel more like a sleepy, lumbering, hibernating bear. I do guess that it is better than a half dressed, honey-snacking Pooh Bear wandering around the Hundred Acre Wood with Eeyore. (100 Acre excellent Cabernet, BTW)
three rounds for time:
6 Bear complexes (95#)
100 meter Bear crawl.
QOTD: No journal
Breakfast: sausage and cottage cheese
snack: nuts
lunch: Freshi Mediterranean salad
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!
