Having digestive problems
It's been a while since I've been here. I'm now almost 7 years out from my RYN surgery.. everything went great I lost over 100 pounds I work out at the gym 2-4 days a week I've never felt better. I even just got married last year.
For some reason these past few months I cant seem to eat properly.. I feel sick and full all the time. I only have a bowl movement every few days up to a week.. it seems to be getting worse. I'm feeling drained cold and tired all the time. Any one else have these issues so far our. I go see a specialist next month but I'm afraid of what he will say..
I use a cap of Miralax and 5 grams of fiber in my coffee every morning and I am regular if your having problems I don't think it would hurt but I'd ask the doctor who prescribed the other stuff before I added it.

I believe miralax and restorlax are the same - just different names for US vs Canadian markets. I agree with Teenie, follow up with your doctor.

If I am not mistaken, Restolax is the Canadian version of Miralax. Same chemicals - different name.
Currently is use 3 - 4 daily (generic type of the miralax) to make sure I have BM daily. If I get constipated, and don't go for a day or 2 - I often need to be very mindful and take more for a couple of days, while following a very light diet.

always follow up with your surgeon... Bring suggestions to their attention and see what is advised as it shows you are doing your research etc.
I take 3 Dulcolax (gentle overnight relief) tablets every night before bed. My surgeon's office said you can take (up to) 3 based on the severity... I alternate between 2 and 3 tablets. if I don't take them, I FEEL IT. Honestly, these little orange pills are a lifesaver and have helped immensely since I have had constipation every since my bypass.
best of luck
Have you tried having a really good clear out with magnesium citrate? It's kind of like the stuff they give you for a colonoscopy, so you'll need to set aside a quiet time with good bathroom access.
Sometimes a slow bowel will get so impacted miralax/restoralax etc just helps a little slide through.
Being full of poop really can make you very sick
Of course, this is not a substitute for seeing your doctor for a physical.

I was just at the hospital a few days ago they gave me a drink and pills to take to flush me out.. said it will happen right away but nope 3 days now and still only a little bit came out.. they did a exray thst day too to make sure I didnt have a leak clear of that but they said I was badly bound up and gave me that stuff. I go see a specialist on Thursday so with any luck they will figure out the problem.. just hard being back on liquid diet waiting for what seems will never come out.. feeling tired bloated and all around just crappy.
