What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu, RNYers?

Good morning! I love those socks, such a cute and funny gift!
my new bed is great. I've always liked firm mattresses and that is what I got. I've slept pretty good. It's a relief. Even with the grogginess it's still better than what I was getting.
we had to go buy a refrigerator last night. Most of the food in the freezer is a total loss. The compressor is going out and it's likely cheaper to get a new one than replace one and with the service call. The diagnostic crap would of been 100 alone. It'll be delivered tomorrow. And I'm glad we got a slightly larger one than what we have now.
i'm really feeling a lot of pain at the moment. It's really been dragging me down and I need to get over that. Food should be interesting today thanks to the fridge. I will most likely have hard boiled eggs twice as I don't want them to go bad. We'll be getting out out cooler and getting ice...so we shouldn't lose to much from the other part.
qotd: can't think of one. I guess that one with jimmy Stewart...good lord can't even think of the name! Lol
My pics are a very tired me with baaaad hair. My late Otis's but print that was a memory on Facebook. And a pic from on of the cat groups I'm in. Oh and something I need for my kitties, you can never be overprotective!

Like you, I need relatively firm mattress but I also need a comfort layer on top to prevent pressure points pain and numbness when I sleep undisturbed, pinned down by a cat.
I have my old, 20+ years old mattress, that a friend helped me pick and get a long time ago. She was in a furniture business, and she picked that one for me. She advised me to get at least 2" comfort layer for it, and change that layer every few years. Last 10 years we have it in the spare bedroom, and it is still great. The mattress made a huge difference in my morning pain level. One of us still sleeps on that when the other is not feeling well...
We got new king size mattress a few years ago. It was a good choice, and it changed how I feel in the morning. But I already have a butt indentation in my side of the mattress because i often don't move during sleeping. I am looking for 1-1.5 inch good quality breathable gel/ latex layer to put on the mattress. It's time to refre**** I often wake up with numbness in my pressure points in my pelvic area.

Good morning menu friends! It's a brisk morning here in the cornfields of Illinois but Miss Lily and I have our first long walk in. We'll do another long and a short noon walk later. Accountability was fair as I had a bedtime snack because my blood sugar was low. Weight is 120.6 today. Here's the food plan for today B 2 protein pancakes with sugar free syrup L 4 oz chicken salad D 4 oz onion burger with cheese and no bun. Need to make sure to drink more today at work. QOTD Psycho or The Birds. Have a great day full of smart choices everyone!

Hey Karen, I know it's a long shot but are your cornfields anywhere near Elsah IL? I'd be flying into St Loius, but her college is actually over the state line in Elsah, so I'd be staying there.

OMG I had no idea you were that close! Looks like I won't be needed this time after all, but I will be there in May for my nephew's graduation for sure!

Mornin' All!
YAY! The 24-hour urine collection test thingie is OVER so I'm free to leave the house again - and it's supposed to be warmer out today to boot! I"m OUTTA here! I'm going to meet my mother for coffee later on this morning. And I'm going to go to campus tonight to see "63 Up" (anyone a fan of the "Up" series? LOVE THEM. I can't wait to see this latest installment!). And I'll go to the gym sometime today, too. Other than that - no plans. Other than to be out of the house. I hated being trapped inside by the frigid weather and that stupid test!
accountability was excellent yesterday. No exercise, though - but I'm doing that today. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to a Zumbathon - two hours of Zumba. Proceeds go to a high school LBGTQA organization. So I'll get my exercise quota in for the entire weekend!
QOTD: I'm also a fan of old Hitch**** movies. And newer Hitch**** movies, too. And I like a lot of film noire films, too....(some of Hitch****'s 1940 era films are in that same film noire style, in fact...)
4 years 8 months out:
B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: more coffee. I think I'll take an RTD protein shake with me and use that instead of half & half, since I'd be drinking a protein shake ANYWAY
L: salad with diced chicken and light dressing
AS: Siggi's skyr
D: not sure yet. I got some deli turkey breast the other day, so maybe a turkey sandwich (on thin bread)?? And an apple for fiber.
ex: weights for sure. And probably the bike or elliptical for cardio
DH took this picture of two of our cats the other day. They like to lie on the table while he's working at it - or WANTS to work at it!
