What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu, RNYers?
on 2/21/20 2:02 am
This one is for Jim... is that what you have been trying to tell us you've been doing?
Happy Fri-YAY! 4 day weeks always feel extra long to me and this was no exception. I ended up leaving work a few hours early again... this low grade fever is just knocking me out and making me feel to tired and shaky. But I feel better again this morning, so hopefully I will manage through the whole day. I have some really important meetings and actually want to be there today!
In other news, we had some family drama yesterday. I won't go into the details but, long story short, my favorite niece who you have seen me post pics of and talk about, is hurting because her ex-step mother has gone out of her way to be awful... Either my mom or I are going to jump on a plane this weekend or next and go to St Louis where she is in college and scoop her up to make sure she is okay. Poor baby--why do some adults suck so much?
In more fun news, my photo Friday is pics of one of my Valentine's gifts to Grim. He now has socks with my face on them :)
Oh and also... I am not a candle person, but I saw this one and it seems made for me on a few levels, hahaha!
Accountability: Excellent! I switched out dinner for something Grim made instead of what I planned, but the points were the same. No exercise, though... Not up for it, yet.
QOTD: What is your favorite old b&w movie? I love love love Hitch****'s Vertigo. I could watch it every day. My favorite old holiday movie is Miracle on 34th St (the original with Natalie Wood).

Happy Fri-Yay everybody!
Great meme, JB - it may explain why I can't get into a blasted handstand, no matter how many pastries I eat. I really thought the chocolate filled ones would give me that extra edge.
It's Margaritaville night at the Blackhawks game tonight, so I think that I will go to the game. This is going to be my last year as a season ticket holder. With renting the house in Florida next winter it doesn't make sense to keep my tickets if we will be away for weeks at a time. And since the team is no longer dominant its too hard to try and sell the tickets. I've had full season tickets since 2008 and had partial for about 5 or 6 years before that. But it's time.
QOTD: I think It's Wonderful Life. I am still scared when I watch Psycho.
Pictures are L-sit pull-up. They aren't in the correct order, unfortunately.
Breakfast - chili
Snack - Protein bar
Lunch - Ahi tuna salad
Dinner - hot dog
Have a great day, all!

Looking good!
If pain au chocolate gave the strength to do handstands, I would be an Olympic gymnast! Sign me up.
So many people love Its a Wonderful Life, but I've always found it so depressing... I never want to watch it at Christmas because it's too sad for me!

Me too! But what does it say about us the Psycho more fun to watch than It a Wonderful Life, lol?

You will get it.
I can do the wall walk kind facing the wall, but can't do the kind facing away from the wall. I have actually been watching the yoga videos. The problem is that the people in the yoga videos are so flexible that they have one foot almost at the wall when the other is still on the ground, so it is much shorter kick-up. More flexible hamstrings would certainly help me.
