What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning JB and Menuers;
Sorry you did not get all the rest you Needed JB. Hopefully the short week will make it more tolerable.
Today is our 14th Wedding anniversary and next year we are planning a trip back to Vegas where we got married in the Venetian Hotel and Casino. So i got that to look forward to next year. Nothing really planned special I made some Baby bell stuffed Turkey meatballs and I have some Chick Pea pasta and homemade sauce for dinner. I also made some Keto Cinnamon rolls over the weekend I'll reheat one of those for a special snack. I will get DH something cake like at the grocery so he can have a sweet treat as well. Maybe a card and some lottery. Every Time I get him Lottery he wins so it might be a good Idea. One anniversary he hit for $1000 on a $20 ticket and just Friday on Valentines he hit for $100 and I only spent $40 so not bad.
QOTD: Do you want adventure or relaxation. If you want moderate or extreme adventure I would look into CaraVan or Apple Vacations and Explore Costa Rica. It was one of my favorite trips the Hot springs in La Fortuna were Amazing.
Accountability. I did snack I had some of that Marcona Almond butter A keto Cinnamon Roll a handful of peanuts and one Dried fig.

Happy Anniversary! Your pic is wonderful, you both look so happy!! That is really nice to have a trip planned for next year to look forward to.
Funny about the lottery tickets/scratch cards, I never win on them and my hubby wins all the time, small wins like $10 here, $20 there but he always wins! So for sure get your hubby one, today could be the lucky day!
I lol's at your "day off from the gym but would rather go to the gym." Funny how a lot of us love the gym now, yet pre surgery saying the word "gym" or "work out" was like swallowing battery acid
Have a great anniversary

QOTD: If you want as sure a guarantee as you can get of warm wether, let me suggest you fly into Ft Myers FL, and stay in Naples. Naples has some of the best beaches in the US (Delnor Wiggins is a state park and my all time favorite) and some REALLY good things to do (Pure Naples boat tour out to Keewadin Island is a wonderful morning)! Hit me up for suggestions! We lived there for about 7 years before returning to the north country of Michigan (where, by the way, it's a snow day for schools today.)
I am so pleased that my weight is down this morning, meaning I've lost 7 lbs of the regain. My general approach this past week has been 2 "meals" a day along with a couple of snacks.
Brunch: Costco chicken made into chicken salad with FF mayo and a teaspoon of relish. If I feel ambitious I may add a touch of diced onion. Serve with celery.
Early Dinner: I may venture out today - Logans Roadhouse has some very good specials and I"ve been housebound with the broken foot. I rarely eat beef but it sounds great today, along with a plain sweet potato and veggie skewer. It will be enough to bring home leftovers.
Snacks:
Light and fit greek yogurt
Maybe some almonds. More likely a navel orange. I know some post ops avoid fruit but at this time of year, I LOVE oranges. It's like a bright spot in the dark of winter.
Happy day everyone!

I will add Naples to the list to check out, thanks! Do you think there will there be a lot of Spring Break activity there in late March?

Naples is by far more of a "snowbird" community than a "spring break" community so while there may be a few kids around, you won't feel it the way you would in other spots. The beauty of SW FL is that in central FL, you're not at all sure of getting really warm weather. Naples is beautiful, even on a "cool" day. Nice shopping, tons of restaurants (TONS really), beautiful beaches. Sightseeing is more natural than man made - the Gulf, the Everglades for a day trip if you want, a little spin to Marco Island, beaches and more beaches, and even an Audubon sanctuary. One of my fave movie theaters too. Oh, and looking at the homes where mega millionaires live.
Lynn, I love the Fort Myers airport - so easy to navigate compared to the Chicago airports!

Good morning, Happy Taco Tuesday!
QOTD - May I recommend my favorite city, San Antonio Texas? It's got the beautiful River Walk, lots of local towns to visit, and so much history. Not to mention, AMAZING FOOD on every corner!
Breakfast - none, fasting until noon
Lunch - Leftover vegan ravioli, hummus and kale salad
Snack - Frozen fruit smoothie, fruit, chia seeds, oat milk and water
Dinner - NO clue yet. Something veggie, something carb and thats about it!
Have a great day y'all!
Christina
