What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Bermuda is really easy to get to from Boston via direct relatively short flight. I have never been to Hawaii because it is such a painfully long trip from the East coast. I'd like to go sometime but I'd have to stay 2+ weeks to make it worth the travel, IMO.
Where in Florida? I am in Southwest Florida, 45 minutes north of Fort Myers.

We are renting in Englewood. I think that is pretty close to you. I would like to retire to Boca Grande in six years.

Now I remember that! I winter in Port Charlotte. We were at the beach in Boca Grande last week and probably will go to Englewood tomorrow.

All I read when I saw that you & Marilyn are planning on getting a place in Florida permanently is PARTY AT JIM'S FLORIDA HOUSE! I see a RNY Menu thread OH meet up there in the future, whatca think?
My parents and I have rented places in Cocoa Beach before, is lovely, small and quaint. My parents are currently in Destin Florida for the month of February, they rented a condo on the beach. Its okay, the weather has been crappy, rain almost every day and they said there is not a lot to do there, but sure what my 76 yr old parents are expecting in terms of "things to do" but we all love Cocoa Beach for sure. Where are you guys looking to buy?
I am very jealous of your ability to work from home...working from home is just not a "thing" here in Canada, I mean its starting to catch on but its super rare. I see how many of you here on the menu thread work from home and I am amazed at it.
Is your chicken shawarma home made or take out? I LOVE chicken shawarma and could eat that all the time!
Have a great day!

Hi Daisy. I hope you are feeling better. We had that flu go through our house two weeks ago. Not fun.
The chicken shawarma is from a chain restaurant here in Chicago called Naf Naf Grill. I don't know if they are national (including Canada) or not.
We would like to buy on Boca Grande. Since its an island (with a drivable bridge) we want to make sure that it would be somewhere that we were comfortable living before making a purchase.
I will post my Dexa stuff tomorrow. There is a lot of science to unpack, so I am trying to figure out how to post it. But you have to promise not to reach through the internet and strangle me if I post the metabolism stuff.

Thanks Jim, flu is going around bad here too, glad you are all feeling better!
Sadly no Naf Naf Grill here, but one of my best girlfriends is Lebanese so I get homemade middle eastern food all the time and its glorious! Its one of my fav cuisines!
When I saw "Boca Grand" I immediately thought of the TV show Seinfeld and the Costanza's going to "Del Boca Vista," I love Seinfeld!
Promise not to strangle you, its not my thing, throat punch well that's a different story!
I would just take a picture of your results and post it as a picture here like you would for Photo Friday.
I will have to go back and check the Dexa portion because I did a 2 visit purchase last summer. The BMR testing was $150.
