What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
on 2/16/20 6:27 am - Amarillo, TX
Good Sunday morning menu friends.
i find myself so nervous over my appointment tomorrow with the neurosurgeon! I have met him before as he did my mom's carpal tunnel release many years ago. But...my anxiety is screaming loudly. I wi**** would just shut up. I'm almost to the point of feeling sick about it. The unknown of this situation is very scary to me.
Last evening was not to great but at least my weight stayed the same.
qotd:not into them at all. I've only been to a few and they were poorly done(my SIL's lol). He sister is a bit of a flake so it was weird. I hate them though! The games are just ugh...

l:chicken Alfredo sauce with spaghetti squash and bell peppers

Congratulations on the terrific weigh-in! And also on getting some coffee this morning (I personally couldn't live without it).
Yesterday I did nothing except paint a table base and walk Justice. I have been feeling a little down the last couple of days. A friend of about 50 years contacted me and is visiting from 3/1-3/5, so that perked me up a bit.
Today I want to walk across the bridge between ***** Gorda and a Port Charlotte over the River. I'm hoping to go soon but SIL said she wanted to go but has been holed up in her room for the last half hour. My laundry is all done, I have already run errands, glued the table together and am ready to go before it gets too hot.
QOTD: One baby shower when I was pregnant with my eldest. I don't remember much about it except that it was probably pretty traditional (48 years ago). No wedding showers for either my first or second wedding. I've been to lots of both and prefer the ones which are a party (both sexes) and the gifts are opened later. I HATE party games. The worst was DH's cousins wedding shower where she invited EVERY female going to her very large wedding. It was at a veterans hall and I was tucked in the corner with the small number of people I knew. It was agonizingly long while she opened EVERY gift and we couldn't even see. The most unique was a Grandma shower here where we all brought our favorite children's book.

Congratulations on the weight loss,JB. Sounds like the new WW is working well for people. Miss Lily and I have our 3.7 miles in and will do a 2 mile walk this evening after we get settled in at the duplex in Chatham. Extra steps today for both of us. Packed up except for getting cold and frozen food items at the last minute. QOTD didn't have showers and have only attended one. Not a fan. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight 120.2 today. Here's the food plan for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz chicken salad D some sort of protein item prepared by hubby. Have a wonderful day full of smart choices everyone!
Good morning all. Not much planned for today except for a funeral I'm going to for a dear family friend who passed away. I grew up knowing her since I was around 2. We took family vacations together over the years. Her and her husband were very close with my parents and their daughter used to babysit my brother and I when we were children. And then I actually worked with her for a couple of years at my last job. She was diagnosed with brain cancer last year and then went downhill fast. I feel awful for her family. It really puts things into perspective. She was around the same age as my parents and it just makes me think about how they aren't going to live forever. Anyway, I had to go shopping yesterday to find something suitable to wear since most of my dressy clothes are too big for me. I was shocked that I was able to fit into a size 12 dress pants and a medium top.
QOTD: No experience with showers of my own. Been to a few for family and friends, but nothing too unique. Just the usual.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda and sugar free creamer
L: L&F yogurt with banana
D: not sure yet.

Have a great Sunday!
Great loss JB. You are doing great. A few days ago the wind chill was -17. Today it was about 60.
QOTD: My work surprised me with a bridal shower. Ladies at church gave me a baby shower when we adopted a baby boy. Don't remember playing any games. I really don't like going to showers and I like the stupid games even less.
I made granola from an Eggface recipe. Delicious. I like granola in my Greek yogurt but store bought is so high calorie. I doubled the recipe and will double again next time.
I have had sleep problems for years. I took Ambien for awhile but had some problems so quit. Tried other meds, too many side effects so for years I've taken OTC sleep aids. My PVP wants me off them and I've read a lot about the danger of using. I've not taken them the last 3 nights and slept about as well as I did with them.
Eats:
Egg, cheese, bacon
Click shake
Fair Life Core power
Meat loaf, small baked potato, 1 T. Country Crock
Greek yogurt, granola, blue berries
