Happy Valentines Day everybody!
I finished Kelly in 34:36, which was a good deal faster than my August time of 37:58. I think that JB's 50 mile monthly challenges and running the 5-K's this fall really helped me be more comfortable with running. In any case, I was pretty happy with the improvement having been sick for the last two weeks.
Kelly is aptly named because it is all cardio. So many wall balls.
The benchmark workouts are all named for women because "anything that leaves you curled in a ball on the floor gasping for breath but wondering when you can see it again has to be named after a woman."
Today I am going for a Dexa scan and BMR. Hopefully they don't say I'm a chubbster. I really like the facility, but its like an hour and a half drive. Other than that, I better get out and get some valentines presents or I am in big trouble.
QOTD: I like to drink Bai water. Top flavors are Clementine, Mango, Watermelon, Peach and Rasberry Ice tea. Also coffee.
Breakfast: Ham and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Steak
Snack: pudding
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

My trainer used to periodically do my very first work out with me, so I could see how much better I was performing, it's a great mental boost isn't it? Fantastic work on the improvement - you and Kelly are my workout heroes!

Congrats on conquering the Kelly! I could not agree more that it is so aptly named alike our cardio super star Kelly here!
Looking forward to hearing your results on your Dexa. Like you there is one that is quite a distance away from me (and quite expensive) so I haven't done one since my 1st year post op, I really need to get an updated one now that I am going into my 7th year post op. Good luck, they won't be saying you are a cubby bunny, more like He-Man with all your muscles from all your amazing workouts!
Have fun shopping for a gift, don't get trampled by all the other men out there who are also last minute shopping! ha ha ha

I am so glad you slept! What a difference a good sleep makes in your health (mood, stress level etc). For me strange dreams often mean I am stressed out, I hope you continue to get good sleeps!
Fingers crossed your camper sells! That will be nice to get that off your plate.
You have me craving Mexican now talking about chipotle or cali tortillas!
have a lovely valentines day and a restful weekend.

Happy Valentines Day JB & menu crew! I hope you & Grim have a lovely day and enjoy your steak dinner!
Its extremely cold here right now, with the wind chill it feels like -28C (-17F) and my body hurts it so cold out! But its long weekend here in Ontario so hoping we warm up some so that I can get lots of hikes in this weekend with the dogs.
Today is my & hubby's 20 year anniversary of our first date. We normally go out for a steak dinner to celebrate but he is sick with that cold/flu thing going around so not sure if he will feel up for steak in the next few days, we will see.
QOTD: I drink two black coffee's a day (I can only do two because I am very caffeine sensitive) and the rest of the day its warm water (oddly I find warm water easy to drink but cold water hurts), chai tea or my favorite drink is diet cranberry juice watered down, so half cran half water. I don't do water enhancers, they don't sit well with me at all.
TSS: 6 yrs & 3 mos post op RNY - weight today is 128.4 lbs
Accountability: I didn't eat my chili for dinner I had some pizza instead, chicken, goat cheese, caramelized onions & balsamic drizzle over top, it was ah-mazing!
Eats today:
black coffee x 2, Balanced break x 2 (cheese, cashews/cranberries), chicken Waldorf salad, chai latte with vanilla PP and a slice of cake!
Exercise: no outdoor activities today - too damn cold but will go to the gym do 5km on the track and upper body workout
Have an amazing day everyone, sending lots of Valentines love to you all
Here are some pics from my hike with the fur kids yesterday, its hard to take selfies with dogs :)
