2nd day in a row the QOTD speaks to me! You can't make this stuff up!
I come from a small town in RI, still live here now. As a senior, we were trying to raise some money for our last prom. A class member's brother was in a band and offered to play free if our class did the site prep and publicity. No problem, our hocky rink was already shut down for the season, so there's our site. Give us your new group shots, we'll make posters and hang them up all over town and surrounding towns. This is what they gave us, Circa 1977
It made all the local and state papers, the Catholic Bishop comented. Witchcraft and Devil worship are condoned by local highschool. Man, it was a nightmare. The concert eventually went on with an audience of 20, LOL (Their covers weren't bad, the look was!!) The band was named Molly Mc Greggor then morphed into Through the Doors and still plays today and both are on Facebook.

hi all- well late post from me and another bad sleeping night despite taking herbal supp and going to bed at 8PM- I'm just so annoyed. feel like I've tried everything. today I'm going for a very long workout whether that be weights or cardio or both to totally break down my body physically, then an aqua massage, then hopefully a good sleep tonight from being exhausted mentally and physically. tried everything else so this is a last resort.
QOTD: nothing really - we did go to Germany my senior year and drink a good bit- but drinks were expensive there like 10-16 marks at the time
food was pretty good except right before bed. I had strawberries, a mini kind bar so I think I went about 200-ish calories over. still didn't help the sleeping...
today I've had:
coffee
water
prot panckes
air fryer chicken with mushroom 'hash'
not sure what else.

Have you tried an otc sleeping pill? I am not a fan for long term but every now and then I take one when I need it and it really helps.

Qotd:I went to the rich school in town(we were NOT Rich)...lots and lots of scandal. Someone let a pig loose in the school covered in ketchup. A few coaches that slept with students. I did not graduate as I dropped out at the end of 11th grade. I was miserable at that damned school. I was made fun of and feared at the same time. It was also a time when my mental health stuff was horrid...just an f-Ed up time for me. I was kind of a scandal with that but not like the others. I was more of a shocker. My teachers cared more about the athletes and I was never reached out to. I did however get my GED before I would of graduated. One of my biggest regrets to this day.
my stomach is upset today. Not looking forward to the appointment with my bariatric surgeon as I feel I've been failing miserably. I'm tired.

Hi Julia and everyone,
Back from warm and sunny Florida...to cold and rainy Maryland! Ugh, it's awful. We don't have the kids this weekend (their mom is taking them to Great Wolf Lodge) so it's a quiet one. We have an "adult sleepover" with two other couples on Saturday so that will include some wine, some Thai food, and some Cards Against Humanity :)
Your QOTD is hilarious because I was part of the scandal!!! We had a yearly "BG Bowl" which was a flag football game between senior and junior girls. I was on the junior team. After the game (I honestly don't even remember who won or lost) we were all out cruising in our cars (nothing else to do) and I was driving a bunch of friends around. We were in a caravan with a bunch of other girls in cars. We stopped to either drop someone off or pick someone up, and her neighbor who had graduated the year before and was known to be "off" came out of his house next door, with a baseball bat! He approached my car and my window was partly down and he started yelling at us and tried to poke his bat through my window into my head! Well clearly my friends and I sped off - he was clearly psycho! Some other adult neighbors saw us, wrote down our license plates, and called the police. When I got home that night, the police were at my house delivering me a 6-point reckless driving ticket!!! Needless to say, all of the parents got involved, as well as the school...and we all had to write "sorry" letters and the criminal charges were dropped. It was so ridiculous, but huge at the time. My parents wanted to kill me, and all I did was drive away from someone trying to hit me with a bat!
B: Egg salad after my iced coffee
L: tuna with artichokes, feta cheese, green olives
D: Whatever I can scrape up, I cannot find time to shop - I just placed a Peapod delivery order, I am stressed at work
E: Zumba! I love the substitute teacher. And I need to move.
Have a great day, all!
That reminds me of high school when my brother and his friends who were out joy riding and stealing hood ornaments off cars of prominent people in our town. They were caught and returned home by the police.
The other parents wanted them to confess but my parents stopped them. They were in high school and my parents were afraid an arrest might stop the boys from getting into college. The parents all hired an attorney who discretely returned the hood ornaments to the rightful owners and probably paid some damages. Charges were dropped and all was well.

Ha your HS story is awesome. We got into a fair amount of trouble cruising around town with nothing to do, too. I can't imagine why kids don't want to get their licenses and cruise like we did. It was such a stupid but fun way to **** away a weekend with friends.
