Good Morning and Happy Friday-Eve! That bear- so much yes!! I have a few calls and some training type things on my calendar for today and prepping for a busy week next week. My local office is moving to a new smaller suite in the same building but still we have some packing to do and another office starts a risk review process on Monday. Meanwhile, I have to start writing 18 quarterly evaluations and phone screen for an open position I have. All that said, I need to calendar some time off, I know I need it.

Accountability: I had some of my SF toffee but walked a little extra on my treadmill so that is how I justified it- lol!

QOTD: Nothing that I can remember.

TSS: 5 years 6 months

B: SF latte, Quaker protein/fiber oatmeal and turkey sausage

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Chicken melt and carbmaster cottage cheese (might add a latte)

D: 4 oz grilled steak, green beans, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: low carb pita with SF jelly and cream cheese, Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 8 mile run and 40 mins elliptical

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1493 Protein:158 Carbs:131 Fat:49

Have a great one!

Good morning. Back has been bothering me, so really working to not let that get in my way of losing the regain. I'll find out Sunday when I weigh how it's going, as I occasionally given in. Last night was a cup of Kashi cereal after dinner.

QOTD - We almost had prom cancelled in the middle of it. It was stopped for 10 minutes while we were being screamed at by the new principal. Apparently, he told the organizers he had never heard of a guarder (sp?) dance and under no cir****tances were we to engage in such an activity. Unfortunately, the organizers framed it to the student body is that we weren't going to have that activity. We just decided to do it on our own, not realizing it was some religious violation of the principal. It felt a little like a scene from Footloose for 10 minutes. Afterwards, we just went on with the dance and we all just forgot about it until the next school day. The principal went crazy on the senior student body in the auditorium. It was almost comical, as no one really cared that the principal felt violated by our actions. Honestly, this is the first time I thought about it since that day.

I could tell you stories about my early high school years, but I dare not. I went to a high school where I had every single key to the building (it was a big building - over 3 miles of hallways). The head of security and of maintenance said they didn't even have all the keys. Yes, they asked us to open a few doors during my time there. I was on the stage crew and the key master handed down all keys each year. It was an honored post that had begun at least 40 years before my time on the crew. Again, the stories I could tell you, but I would like to avoid any legal entanglements. I also had a permanent pass that allowed me to pull myself out of any class at any time. Yeah, it was a fun two years before my parents moved to the burbs and I had to change schools.

PWO - 2/3 cup fage plain yogurt, tsp nut butter

B - 2 egg

S - 1/2 cup oatmeal (free oatmeal Feb)

L - 3.5 oz chicken, small salad

S - Apple and some almonds (8)

D - Spiralized veg noodles and some chicken

I've been slipping a bit on my eating and I'm in a bit of a stall, so I'm joining the menu threads again!

QOTD: No scandals that I can really recal. Probably should have been one my junior year, though; my Odyssey of the Mind team travelled to the national competition in TN (long way from home in WA!) and the teacher who was our advisor literally took one of our rental cars and abandoned us for two days. Never did find out what happened, too weird.

B: half protein bar

L: chicken lunch meat and salad with FF ranch

D: steak with chimichurri sauce, broccoli

S: edamame, salami and cheese snack box maybe

E: day 2 of "couch to 5k" during my lunch break (doing a triathlon in a few months and I will jog at least part of the 5k, even if it kills me), then roller derby practice in the evening

I thought I had heard everything crazy that a teacher can do, but OMG that story of the chaperone is wild!

My dad has been an OM coach and judge forever. He loves it.

QOTD- No scandal but we started with the largest freshman class at 150 and only graduated 55. Some kids moved away but I'm not sure why it happened. It was a small school and was really difficult for me. If you hadn't been born there and lived there your whole life you were an outsider. I lived in the same house from the time I was born until I graduated 8th grade. I didn't want to move to the "sticks" but my parents had always wanted acreage, it was the time of Mother Jones and back to nature and all that rot. The only positive for me was I got to have a horse. I used my berry picking and babysitting money to buy my first horse for $100. Believe me he was no prize and made me work for everything with him, I'm lucky he didn't kill me. This move caused me a lot of enduring emotional scars and altered the course of my life and not for the better. Sorry probably TMI.

Another dark gray day in the PNW, it did clear off and we had some sun yesterday, but not very warm. The sale of where I work is being delayed another 30 days, not sure that we can hold on until then. What I am wishing for from the sale is a permanent position with PTO and benefits. I hate being a contractor. Honestly if I could get Medicare I would retire tomorrow. But unfortunately I have to wait another 3 years.

Have a great day everyone!

Sadly, that's not my dysmorphia talking, but what I really look like.

Ive been MIA, because work is killing me. I'm putting in 14+ hour days and then when I get home, I can't sleep. I told one of my instructors that I gave up exercise for lent. I haven't made it to the gym during the week in the last 2.5 weeks. Mornings don't work since I have court many days and I can't leave the office early enough to make the last spin class. I feel fat and sad.

QOTD: We had a cheating scandal in my AP US History class. Someone got a copy of her exam. Me, being the good two shoes that I was, and in my capacity as a member of student government (yes, I was a nerd) brought it to the teacher's attention. We sat there while she read the cheaters' exams and watched her "oh" "ooohhhh" "this isn't good" She invalidated the test.

My plan . . . sucks, I have two client visits and hey're no where close to each other.

B: egg bites (roasted pepper and cheese). The costco version are higher in calorie and lower in carbs than the sbucks version so they actually work well for my hypoglycemia (the calories are another issue, but you can't have everything)

L: No idea. Likely an iced coffee since I'll be driving across southern california

D: the plan right now is a bunless burger with grilled onion and cheese. I will make spin tonight or die trying.

S: latte with fairlife milk and I forgot something to have before the gym, so who knows. I think there's a quest bar in my office.
