What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning, everybody!
I had a pretty good week in DC. It was definitely warmer than Chicago and missing a week of winter is great. I didn't really do anything eventful except for work and try and recover from cold. I still don't feel 100% yet.
Marilyn is back from her tennis trip, so we have a full house for the first time in about a week. I still haven't talked to her yet, but will when I get back from the gym at 7:30.
Marilyn's friends daughter is going to be discharged from the hospital today which is also very welcome news.
We loved Ford vs. Ferrari yesterday.
QOTD: I had better say my wife.
Breakfast: Ham and cottage cheese
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: Chicken
snack: jerky
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

OMG who hasn't done lunges to make the jeans work?! After weight loss, I have to wear jeans with stretch - otherwise they just don't fit. I have resigned myself to not be depressed about my lack of ability to fit into "normal" jeans...
I also watched most of the Oscars, and finished it up this morning. I hadn't seen any of the movies. I was a bit sad at how EVERYONE had to give a "shout out" to women - women wouldn't need a shout out if they ACTUALLY had a seat at the table and were actually nominated!!!
QOTD: I would bring Jen (partlypollyana) since I think she would love it more than anyone! Kris is like Grim - he wouldn't know a single star and would hate the tux lol.
I am off on yet another trip today - it's a busy next few months with a flight to Florida tonight. We have a team meeting in 77 degree Cocoa Beach. Not half bad!
B: hard boiled eggs after my iced coffee with cream
L: leftover rotisserie chicken and sautéed red onion with fajita seasoning, sour cream, salsa
D: Possibly a hummus chicken bowl at the airport!
Have a wonderful day, all!

Safe travels! I would love to be your Oscar date! I could tell you who's who, who's doing who (allegedly) and all the movie stuff!

OMG yes with the women, thing. I am always going off about how people talk about "empowering women". It infuriates me. I do not need a man to give me power, tyvm!
BTW, Grim thinks my rants on this subject are hilarious and asks me at least once a week if I feel "empowered" after watching a yogurt commercial or some other stupid "empowering" advertising. I think he just likes to see me rant.

Karen definitely has a routine that works for her including oatmeal! I had more WW points than I wanted to yesterday due to an extra snack during a sleepless night. Not happy about that.
QOTD: That is a really hard question right now. No one close to me likes to dress up, though DH would have enjoyed it. Maybe my son could dress like Billie Eilish (that weird outfit would fit him). He does love movies.
TSS: 3 years, 10.5 months
B: Eggs, salsa, and coffee
L: Sliced chicken and laughing cow cheese (love that cheese)
D: Shrimp and cauliflower
S: baked apple, homemade guacamole with a few good thins

Good morning and yay for a weekend that feels long! Mine did not but it didn?t feel short so that?s something. I have 3 5 am conference calls this week and a 6 am flight, so it?s going to be like a long week!
i brought my first pair of non stretch jeans a few months ago, it feels strange, lol.
we had to do the Oscar party virtually, the roads where my friend lived were not great and several people had colds. It was the best use of video conference technology yet! Janel Monae was my best dressed choice.... I loved her dress! I was happy that so many women wore amazing jewelry! I love the bling. I also loved Regina King, Scarlett Johansson, and Florence Pugh.
There were a lot of choices for worst dress. I mean Gal Gadot is simply one of the most beautiful women on the planet but that dress was not.
I?m good with all the parasite love, I?m just pretending it won for only the first half hour or so. I was excited Taikka won for Jojo Rabbit?s adapted screenplay.
Qotd - I would have to take the core group of Oscar party gals - Lisa, Jessica, Katherine, and Cambria. Plus my bestie and my sister. I'm going to need like 10 plus ones, lol
my 2 year follow up is Thursday, two years ago I would have started trying to starve myself today to be as light as possible for the weigh in; and not understand why I didn?t makeup for a year in four days. Not the case this year!
Today?s eats are coffee and half and half, carb master cottage cheese, slice of cheese crust pizza, real good food stuffed chicken breast and a l&f Greek.
ex for today will be the elliptical, plus any snow shoveling if it?s necessary (hoping it?s not).

Grim felt the same way about Parasite--he enjoyed the beginning and then when it took a darker turn, he hated it. But I really liked the darker twist! I thought it was an excellent metaphor (get it!?) for the class strata--the rich people lived above ground, the poor people lived at street level, and the desperately poor lived underground, right?
Yes, it was dark and upsetting, but I want a movie that is pointing out those societal inequities to be that disturbing, I guess. Lord it sounds like I am about to start a college level paper about it, lol. I'll shut up.
