What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
Hi Maddy Moe, congratulations on the 26 that is awesome.
I'm not at all surprised that people think that you and your daughter are sisters. One of my friends got the opposite. She was at a store with a younger friend and they asked her if she wanted a complimentary mother/daughter makeover. Oops.

Sometimes people ask if my 5 years older than me SIL is my mother. She hasn't been thrilled...

Jen
Good morning, everybody!
When I was in DC somebody that I didn't know walked up to me and said "Oh my God, I can't believe how young you look." Then she asked me how old I was. How could she know whether I looked young or old if she didn't know me or how old I was? I could have been a very decrepit 26 year old.
I'm going this morning for my first official total since I started working with this olympic lifting coach during the fall. Ideally, I wouldn't have been sick for the last 10 days or so, but I still feel pretty good and excited for it.
Good luck with WW, JB.
QOTD: I'm not really good at stuff like this. We probably all look pretty similar, all four sides of my family came from Ireland.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: Protein Bar
Snack: Nuts
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

Well, I'll jump in now that I'm back on OH more regularly. 10.5 years post RNY, working hard to drop some regain pounds. I find that I do my best with 2 meals and 2 snacks daily.
Brunch today: salad with roast chicken, 1 tbsp Olive Garden Italian dressing. 1 nectarine.
Snack: Dannon Greek Light & Fit yogurt (for ages I did not use dairy at all, but lately I'm loving the yogurts!)
Midafternoon dinner: We will go out today for an early Valentines dinner since hubby is traveling next week. Red Lobster tossed salad, shrimp skewer (sometimes it's listed as an add-on but you can get them separately), and a plain baked potato. I'll bring home half the potato for tomorrow.
Snack: Option for either a protein shake or paleo protein bar. I have to be VERY VERY careful what brands I use because I can't tolerate sugar alcohols.
If I need more calories or protein I'll add a hard boiled egg. The little 2 packs from Costco are great for grab and go!
And water.....always water. More water.
Mornin' All!
I'm meeting a friend for coffee at 9:00 (that is, if she hasn't caught the flu from her teenage daughter - she said she'd text me by 8:30 if that was the case). I have a couple of errands to run, but...that's it. Making yogurt right now. I'll have to find some other things to do today because I got a little bored yesterday afternoon after I got home from the lecture. Being bored and in my house is never a good thing - too many temptations in the fridge - although luckily, I stayed in my calorie range yesterday (I've been aiming for the lower end of my range lately, but hit the middle of it yesterday. But still, within range, so I'll take it...). I'll go to the gym at some point. The classes on Saturdays are all in the mornings, when I'll be with my friend, but I can at least do the elliptical or stationary bike this afternoon (or dreadmill...)
QOTD: I look like my father. He had that Swedish round face and pug nose (and the non-Swedish dark hair and dark eyes, which I have as well). When I got down into the 130s a couple of years ago and my face looked horribly drawn, my mother told me to quit losing weight because I looked just like my father did before he died. Gee...thanks, Mom! But at any rate, yes - I've looked like him since the day I was born!
accountability was good yesterday. 1605 kcal (my range is 1500-1700) and an hour of water aerobics. Plus some walking.
4 years 8 months out:
B: plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 diced mango, coffee with half & half
MS: more coffee with half & half
L: 1/2 a Beyond Burger on a "sandwich thin" with lettuce, tomato, and light Thousand Island, small salad with light dressing
AS: Fit Frappe
D: same as lunch (with the other half of the Beyond Burger)
I have another 100-ish calories to play around with, so other potential snacks could be L&F yogurt or raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt dip or 2 T hummus, or maybe an apple...
ex: some kind of cardio
have a great day, all!

Greetings, my RnY clan! Happy Saturday!
JB, that storm sounds intense! So glad that you have power! We lost power once during a winter storm in NJ and remained without it for 5 days. I have to say though that making a fire every night and reading by candlelight was rather beautiful and peaceful.
My cat-clawed hand feels better today, still a little sore, but tolerable.
It's pouring, yet again. It'll be another dark day here in northern rainforest land. Yesterday though the sun broke through to shine down upon the soggy earth for a couple of hours. I miss sunshine!
I bought a used truck to have a vehicle with 4WD to more reliably navigate the hills here (Seattle is very hilly) when it snows and ices over. It's cute and bright red. I never was attracted to bright red cars as they always seemed like look-at-me overkill, but it suits this little truck and just makes it look cheerful. I thought it was an SUV at first, but then realized it was a truck with extras. I love my fast little black car, but feel more secure on ice in this thing. To get to the only road off of the island I live on requires a trip down a very long, very very steep hill which culminates in a busy 3-way intersection. It's ridiculously dangerous when icy. Sanding, salting and plowing aren't high priorities here, and last year I was stuck for days after a big snow. Now I won't be. A drawback is that there is no ladylike way to climb in, as it's quite high. The best I can do is to wait until I'm unlikely to be observed, at least when I'm wearing a skirt.
QOTD: I look a little like my brother, but not so much that people would guess we were related. I also look a little like my nephew, mostly because we are both redheads (as were both of my grandmothers!). I looked more like my dad than my mom, though I have her hands.
First: three huge mugs of tea. These days I'm drinking Celestial Seasonings Madagascar Vanilla. And the tea drinking will continue all day long.
B: tuna packet with a tiny bit of zero cal, zero carb dressing
L: roast beef
D: shrimp stir fry with broccoli. I make a sauce with garlic, lemon, ginger, tamari, rice wine vinegar, and a small teaspoon of peanut butter. It's very good, and the peanut butter adds a silky texture.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!

See if you cans get an under step added, then if you step up facing the door jamb, no issues (lots of boosted up pick ups in my past, lol). Accidental flashing is a legit issue!
