What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Happy Hump Day! I love taking random Mondays off. I can't believe its already the middle of the week :)

Last night I made the best, easy, dinner for 2 points! Fish tacos! I threw a frozen Tilapia into the air fryer, and put it onto a corn tortilla with some melted low fat cheese, added some raw cabbage and Trader Joe's Island Salsa. So yummy and so easy!

Today is my first day of my new routine. I am going to start going to the gym before work a few days a week. It took 6 months but I finally got it through my thick skull that I am never ever going to go to the gym after work, and weekend workouts are not enough to keep me feeling fit. I am going to start slow today and ease into it. Maybe just some cycling and weights?

Accountability: Holy crap--I think WW is really working! I got on the scale last night with clothes on, prepared for extreme disappointment, and was down a few pounds! Losing a few pounds in a week is a big deal, obvi, but the day after biscuit day? Unheard of! I will hold all of my excitement until I see the official WW scale number this Saturday but it feels promising.

QOTD: Is there an actor or actress who automatically ruins a movie for you if they are in it? Actor: Tom Cruise. I don't mind the early years--Risky Business and Top Gun... but everything he has been in for the last 20 years annoys the crap out of me. He is so smug and obnoxious... Actress(es): Laura Dern & Mary Steenburgen. I have an unnatural hatred for both of these women that I cannot explain, but there is a big eye roll if either of them are on my screen.

Plugging away at WW! Today's food plan is to eat 12/23 points and make up the rest of the day with zero point foods.

Oh that's funny--I love Janine Garafalo! I guess I identify with her dark, sarcastic, frumpy side ;)

Mornin' All!

I'm so glad to hear about your success so far with WW, JB! This sounds really promising - and it just confirms my idea that WW may be the way to go if my current plan doesn't do the trick (down a pound this morning - yay! (I'm going to try to only weigh myself on Wednesdays as opposed to daily and see how that works...))

I'm going to have to wing my menu today (crap...the advanced tracking has served me well the last couple of days - bummed I can't really do it today) because I'm going to a luncheon with my mother and MIL. They're having chicken & mushroom crepes, fruit, and wild rice (the other entree option was cheese ravioli or cheese tortellini or something like that). Depending on the size of crepe, I may just eat half of it. And if the fruit is fresh, I'll eat that as well. Otherwise, it's coming home for DH. Nothing else on the agenda today, although I'm thinking of going to a TRX class tonight as a change from weight machines (I don't mind the weight machines, but I think it might be good to substitute TRX once in awhile just so I don't burn out on doing the machines). I'll also get some kind of cardio - maybe even a walk since the sidewalks are pretty clear now.

QOTD: I can't stand Clint Eastwood anymore. And I've never been crazy about Nicholas Cage. I think it's his voice or something - SOMETHING about him irritates me.

4 years 8 months out:

B: 1 C plain Greek yogurt with diced 1/2 mango

MS: Fit Frappe

L: chicken & mushroom crepe, maybe fruit

AS: if needed, raw veggies & ranch Greek yogurt dip

D: may just have salad with diced deli turkey and light dressing

have a great day, all!

Agreed about Nicholas Cage! He always sounds stuffed up like he needs to blow his nose. Peggy Sue Got Married is one of my all time fav movies, though--despite his terrible acting...

Having a good weight drop sure does reinforce one's dedication to a plan doesn't it? Congratulations on your loss. I had been hovering around the same weight for about 2 weeks (bouncing around it), but I dropped 2.4 pounds yesterday. Maybe our weightloss is associated with the moon cycle or something! I am 5 pounds from official goal and about 8 from the mid-point of where I want to be.

Today I am walking with my group, then going to lunch with them. I am dedicated to making good choices as my official WW weigh-in is tomorrow. It will be difficult as my preview of the menu didn't find much acceptable.

QOTD: Nobody immediately comes to mind, though I do agree with you on Tom Cruise acting (or lack). There are actors that I almost always like though. You can probably tell my age by them: Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep come to mind.

TSS: 3 years, 10 months

B: Eggs, cottage cheese, and coffee

L: Fish? Salad?

D: Everroast chicken and cottage cheese (or shrimp)

S: baked apple and/or pumpkin pudding

I am also doing WW and seem to have the same pattern- I bounce around for a week or so and then have a big drop. I am working on patience.
