I took metformin for years and years. I took it for type two diabetes but still had to take insulin. I also took it for a short time last year before my revision. It made me pretty sick the second time. Everyone is different though, I know a lot of folks that it's helped with weight loss.

Good morning. It was a long, sad weekend here. Los Angeles is a very sad place to be.

I had a bad weekend, my blood sugar was out of control (for no good reason) so that means a lot of extra calories that I normally wouldn't consume. I'm going to try super low carb eating (except for the dairy in my coffee, and 10 blackberries before the gym) and see if that helps.

QOTD: Never have I ever been to Canada (so close but yet so far)

My plan:

B: egg bites (the Costco version, but I bought egg white, pepper and cheese variety from Target)

L: Tri tip

D: either steak or low carb chicken Parmesan

S: Latte, sliced turkey and blackberries before the gym.

Hi JB and all! That's great about the WW - I think your menu today looks very healthy and pretty much textbook what a doctor would say our body needs - protein, vegetables and fruit, carbs from natural forms like an apple.

I cannot believe you have never gone to the bathroom on a plane!!! Like Cynthia said, how did you get to Hawaii without using one???

QOTD: I have never met a stranger. I love people, I am an extreme extrovert, and I can relate to most people.

I did great this weekend - despite the fact that we have four birthdays over a period of 8 weeks, I made a cheesecake and didn't sample it. I just can't eat like other people :(

B: (sooo fancy) leftover king crab from Costco. I rationalize it by saying "well it's $40 but this would be $100 at a restaurant" lol

L: chicken street tacos from Costco, no tortillas for me - just chicken, cheese, cilantro crema

D: Going to a friend's who broke her ankle and had surgery - bringing a bunch of food and we are cooking shrimp pasta with artichokes, olives, garlic - less noodles for me

E: No chance since I am doing the care package thing

Have a fab day everyone!

I have never seen not even one scene of star wars. So your not alone.

I would have been happy if I had never seen Star Wars--definitely not my genre, but now I am all caught up in the Baby Yoda series (only because he is adorable), so they sucked me back in!
