What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
on 1/27/20 5:22 pm - Amarillo, TX
Kind of had a rough day. I've bit my lip/cheek far to many times...really...like 6 times and 3 times in the same damned spot. It did bleed...a lot. Now my whole mouth is sore. Everything irritates it. So I'm drinking water for the rest of the night. Food was better than yesterday but not great.
I wish there was a WW meeting nearer to my house. I need the act of weighing in in front of someone else. It's a tool of sorts that keeps me more accountable.
Mel
i hate when I do that.

Welcome to WW JB! I am finding that under WW I eat more or less how I did post-WLS and in control. However points do have a way of steering me to healthy choices but also allowing me to indulge periodically without feeling like a failure. That and the weekly weigh-ins give me a sense of control that I really needed (not just around eating and drinking).
Today I am going to yoga, sorting through some drawers and maybe writing some thank you notes. Once I get started on that it will be easier. I did write one to the funeral home owner yesterday who made the process as painless as possible and was a friend of DH's.
QOTD: I had to chuckle at yours because I somewhat feel the same way and always go just before I get on the plane. For long flights it just isn't feasible for me to avoid using the bathroom altogether. So, hmmm... Never have I ever been to Block Island, relatively close by in Rhode Island. I think I have been to all other New England coastal spots but never there. Maybe this summer???

Thank you! I'm doing okay - heading to Florida on Sunday so I can clear my mind for a while.

It's fun how many times I heard myself saying that I was failing today when I ate carbs. I think my self-talk was starting to get unhealthy and I didn't even realize it until today. I hope I can get back to feeling like I can indulge without being mean to myself about it.

B - Quest protein drink with coffee (store was out of PP and this was the one next to it on the shelf, same nutritional profile)
L- oatmeal w/ PB 2 mixed in
D - chicken cooked with bone broth, (broth to sip between meals along with water), chopped avocado, pico de gallo, feta cheese crumbles
planned snack - lightly salted HB egg
QOTD: OK how the hell did you hold it all the way to Hawaii???? Ha. Ha. Ha. I have never been on a cruise. Not sure I want to, I get vertigo very easily.
Good Luck with WW. Maintenance is not one size fits all - you got to figure out you. and face it carbs are in the equation.
My phone dies this weekend, I knew it was on its way out but when it happens...so I have been living since Saturday morning like the - olden days- and using my laptop. Social media on a laptop stinks and I could only message with people with iphones. Going in a few minutes to get a phone.
Accountability: No phone. no tracking. scale up. whoops. Have eaten all good food, just too much of it I guess. Big reason it is probably up is I did not drink all my water yesterday. I find it does make a difference. You would think after 5+ years I would have this down. nope.
- protein shake, egg whites w/veggies
- chicken schwarma on salad
- chicken noodle soup with banza noodles
- Greek yogurt, pumpkin muffins
- casein protein at night.
EX: looks like rest day.

I also find the days I do not hit my water goals I always gain. We all have methods of how to get in the water. I will not let myself have my first coffee till I have 20oz of water then I will not eat a meal until I get in my next 20 oz of water. So most days it works out . Hope you hit your goal today.
