Hello my friends! I am back (I think...) Still a busy week but it shouldn't be as bad as the last few were. If you don't see a post by 6am this week, assume I am not posting.

I made a wild and crazy decision this weekend. I bit the bullet and decided to abandon keto and try WW as so many of you have. The only thing that was stopping me was my negative associations with sitting in those meetings when I was in my 20s. But a good program is a good program, so I'll try again... The reading I have been doing says that Keto is the best diet for quick weight loss but one of the worst for long term. WW is at the top for long term, so let's go!

It's really interesting how different the programs are. Se below for a screenshot of my WW day which is "good" because I only used 16 of 23 points, but is a disaster compared to the macros I was trying to stick to on MFP. Fascinating!

QOTD: Let's play: Never Have I Ever! What is a random thing you have never done that you think will be unique to you on this board... I have never gone to the bathroom on an airplane! I actively dehydrate myself and "hold it" but I will not go. I am not scared to fly but I am positive that the plane will go down while I am stuck in the bathroom with my pants down. I have had some super long flights and managed to hold it, so far :)

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all! Quick post before I head off to work. Going to be a very busy and stressful week for me since one of my coworkers will be out all week and I'll be taking over her tasks in addition to my own. So I honestly have no clue how all this work is expected to get done. We were discussing this on Friday and said hopefully they will see how much of a struggle this is and will hire more people which we so desperately need!

QOTD: I have never flown on a plane. Not because I'm scared to. Just never had the opportunity. I literally go nowhere! Lol

B: premier shake

B2: coffee w/Splenda

L: turkey and cheese roll up

D: baked salmon and veggies

I hope they make a plan for your work situation! I feel the same way right now--we have these back to back meetings from 8-5 every day, but no time to plan for them and no time to do our other work... It's a nightmare! 4 more days...

Good morning, everybody!

I'm glad to see that you survived your busy stretch, JB. Next week I will be in Washington DC, so if I can survive this week, I will have made it halfway through the Chicago winter. Our plan was to rent a house in Florida for next winter so that we could get away for a couple of weekends and spend the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break holidays there, but we have made exactly zero progress on that and it is looking like it will have to be for Winter 2022, instead.

I did Hidalgo, yesterday. 2 mile run, 2 minute rest, 20 squat cleans 135#, 20 box jumps, 20 lunge steps with a 45# plate over head, 20 more box jumps, 20 more squat cleans 135#, another two minute rest and then a closing 2 mile run. All in, it took about 80 minutes. I was ready for a nap afterwards. Fell down on one squat clean and my butt is feeling that this morning.

QOTD: I have never watched Sex in the City.

Breakfast: Ham and cottage cheese

Lunch: Steak

Snack: nuts

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Jim, your workout is INSANE! I am beyond impressed.

And alas, I am on the road the next two weeks so no DC lunch for us :(. Provo and then Orlando...two back to back work trips. Sigh...

Where are you staying in DC? I can recommend restaurants and/or maybe nearby gyms!

Thats too bad Emily, although I'm glad you are getting to visit some pretty fun places.

My hotel is on North 22nd. I think that we are allowed to use Equinox. The hotel seems to be equidistant between Equinox and something called the Wine Lair.

We used to go to a Lebanese place near M Street that was really good, but I can't remember the name. Also, many wine drenched nights at Sam and Harry's, which I believe has closed.
