What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
on 1/19/20 4:30 am
Good morning everyone! Hope you are having a good weekend and your Sunday is fantastic!
Yesterday, I accomplished everything on my to do list plus 40 minutes on the elliptical by noon, I treated myself to an afternoon on the loveseat in the sun room and pretty much did nothing else. It was glorious! Today will be busier with a Pilates class, some grocery shopping for my mom, driving out to pick we up, bring her back for a movie and taking her home, plus folding laundry.
QoTD - any fun finds/recommendations? I started using this new brand of cleanser/moisturizer/overnight glycolic treatment and I love it - it's called Drunk Elephant. It's pricy but so far I only need to use a little so it should last quite a while.
menu today starts with my usual three cups of coffee with half and half
b - 1 oz cheddar, cottage cheese
l - protein bar at movie thester
d - cheese crust pizza slice
s - light and fit greek
have a great Sunday everyone!

Mornin' Weekenders!
it looks cold out there - but fortunately, no snow since yesterday afternoon. It's supposed to be back in the 30s by Wednesday, I think - thankfully!!!
we're meeting my MIL (and hopefully my mother, too - although she hasn't responded yet) for breakfast at 10:30, so I'll just be having coffee (I can't wait that long for breakfast!). Then we're headed back to MIL's apartment to hang some more pictures. And....??? She's been talking about how she needs to see more of the Oscar-nominated movies, so maybe we'll see one of those today, too. Other than that, I need to make cottage cheese today or tomorrow - and I need to exercise. And tackle that ever-present TO DO list (again!) as well. Oh - and exercise, since I didn't do anything yesterday. If we're done with MIL by 4:00, I'll go to Zumba. Otherwise, I'll go to the weight room sometime today and hop on the stationary bike or elliptical afterward.
QOTD: well, there's the Fit Frappe and DASH mini waffle maker that I talked about yesterday (got them on Friday and love both). And Neutrogena Light Sesame Oil. A couple of the people I went to India with raved about this stuff, so I picked some up about a month after I got home. Love it. It IS light and it soaks right in...I actually think I like it better than body lotion.
4 years 7 months out:
B: piece of Swedish cheesecake (made with artificial sweetener and cottage cheese instead of cream cheese - and no crust) with light Cool Whip and raspberries, coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe, then regular coffee at the "moms" meetup
L: yikes. I guess I'd better take something with me since we'll be at MIL's a chunk of the afternoon. Maybe I'll end up having some chili at the brunch place (if they have it) - or else I'll take a protein bar with me
AS: L&F yogurt. Or if we're still at MIL's - a protein bar (or I have some individual packs of nuts - I can take one of those with me as well. I can pretty much guarantee that she'll have nothing "safe" at her house)
D: I have some cottage cheese "mousse" (whipped cottage cheese, protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, Splenda, and unsweetened cashew milk) that I really need to eat soon - so maybe that topped with berries
Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Parasite is also up for best picture and just won best ensemble at the screen actors guild. Irishman seems to be polarizing with no one taking a middle ground on it. I found it three plus hours I'll never get back but it's not my style of movie. I was very interested to find that Scorsese is making killers of the flower moon next, though!

Happy Sunday, everyone!! Yesterday I did some things around the house. My big thing was replacing the aerators on the faucets. It is so nice to have good water pressure again!! It's one of those things that was annoying but kept forgetting to do it. It took 3 trips to Lowe's and Home Depot but I did it!! lol
QOTD: I am loving my Renpho scale. I like it better than my expensive Withings scale (that my daughter took over). I think it is more user friendly. I use both because I will admit I am a lil bit scale obsessed.

Goal: lose 30 pounds of regain (9.6 down/20.4 to go)
WW is going well. I stayed under my points for the week and had a good weigh-in yesterday. I really like the new program and I love my group meetings. I go at 7 am on Saturdays. I hate getting up early, but I like getting it out of the way. Saturdays are usually busy for us.
This past year or so has been tough for me and I stopped taking care of myself. I am deternined to keep taking care of myself now. Mentally I feel so much better as I feel better physically.
I am off Monday so I will continue enjoying this 3 day weekend. I hope everyone else is doing the same!!

My tax preparation work schedule is too tight this time of year for me to try to add Weigh****cher meetings, but I know that they are valuable. I lost four pounds the first week and now holding even though I am still tracking.
I do need to add some exercise and am going to do that this week by using the treadmill in my basement.
I do have more energy and feel stronger just by eating less and making sure I stay in my points. I plan to lose another 16 by the first of June. Weigh****chers makes so much sense to me because I can eat any food as long as I count the points.

Good for you!! I lost a lot the first 2 weeks then hit a short stall.
I need to keep reminding myself I feel better when I take better care of myself
