What's on your Friday (pic) menu? RNY?
G'morning and Happy Fri-yay!
This was my first full week back at work and it was brutal, but I survived. Looking forward to a no plans weekend. Maybe just a couple of Oscar movies to catch up.
Speaking of Oscars, Jen, any plans? I'm skipping the party planning this year and plan on jus****ching it by myself. DD, on the other hand, def has learned. She told me she is planning an Oscar watching party and the theme is Little Women, everybody will wear Civil War era. I'm so proud of her.
QOTD: I can't think of anything. I just go with what I have or cooked. As you might have seen from my recent menus I'm eating a lot of shredded pork but that's because I made a whole bunch of it in the crock pot, but I can't say I'm obsessed with it. I'm not a big foodie, but more of a sweet tooth which I can't have.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee + protein
- Shredded pork
- Fage yogurt
- TJ's chicken fajitas
My pics are from about 10 days ago. We had low tides on the beach and you can see the most amazing creatures in the tide pools.

I am coming back early from a Vegas girls weekend to make it to my other friends Oscar party. Fortunately, I only have to bring an appetizer and my knowledge of useless movie and Hollywood trivia:-)
i have seen all the best picture nominees except Ford vs Ferrari; Jojo Rabbit and Parasite - I think I will be able to get them in before the 9th though. Judy is streaming and it seems like Renee zellweger might win the Oscar so I am going to try to see that one too. SAG awards are Sunday so I am looking forward to some red carpet...I have been pretty disappointed so far this awards season -- no stunning jewelry; pretty tame looks and not a lot of glamour. If I ever get to the Oscars, I will be all glam, all the time!

QOTD - I finally tried chaffles a few days ago and am having fun experimenting with that. They are pretty good and I can see some potential.
I am struggling to get a good bariatric routine in place again. Things felt so effortless after my VSG in 2017 but once things fell apart and I had my conversion surgery and other complications I have struggled. I have managed to gain some weight back that I needed to gain BUT I have picked up unhealthy habits in the process and I don't feel like I have a "groove". I feel like I am floundering like I used to before bariatric surgery and frankly that is a terrifying feeling to me. I want to get things in place before my bad habits lead me back to obesity, etc. I am like F this; I didn't go through all of this just to end up obese AND unhealthy again.
