Happy Fri-Yay, all!

I wrestled with a dilemma on Boxing Day.

I don't travel for work as much as Jen, but I do fly a fair deal. I am much more than halfway to million mile status and I know my way around the airport. DD is also starting to travel for work and goes to school in Texas. The rest of the family flies less frequently.

Nevertheless, out of sheer stress, Marilyn needs to lead the family through the airport during our family travels. We arrive 3,4,5 hours early and storm headlong through the facility, in a blinding panic, ignoring frequent traveller benefits like preferred status lines or clubs that we belong to.

Since the flight to Australia was two legs, two sets of customs, 26 hours plus a three hour layover in the Middle East, you imagine that she was pretty cranked up by the time that we got to the hotel in Sydney.

But, when the next morning, she started planning how were going to make it to the ship, a 500 yard walk, by 2:00, me and DD knew it was time to cut out. We decided to hit the beach for a bit before boarding the ship. The hotel's concierge recommended taking a water taxi, called Opal, and we were on our way. DW said that she was happy for us but would never be able to handle the stress of departing the sight of the cruise pier.

Me and DD headed down to the water ferry dock and got it the line for the machine that dispenses the Opal tickets. And that's when the dilemma appeared.

In the form of a twenty something beach goer wearing only a bikini bottom and some sort of loose, flowing, somewhat transparent coverup (undoubtedly to provide adequate ventilation to the muscles of the shoulder). I suspect that she extended fully to the ground and was wearing some sort of shoe, but I cannot recall that detail.

Was the dilemma whether I should be looking at this topless wonder? No, I'm pretty sure she didn't mind. Was it that I shouldn't be watching semi-nude women on the day after Christmas? That is actually something that I just thought of as I wrote this.

No, my dilemma was that right in between me and the Aussie exhibitionist stood DD. On one hand, I knew that any attempt to look past DD, or to peer over her shoulder while we were talking, in order to observe the bathing beauty would result in a curious head turn, followed by a look of disappointment. On the other hand, however? Boobies!

Of course I couldn't be the creeper Dad. I kept my eyes pinned to the Opal screen got my ticket, and we had a great day at the beach. I still feel cheated though.

Working from home today because we are supposed to get snow. Hoping to see 1917 this weekend.

I did my first weighted pull-up yesterday. Only an 8 pound dumbbell tucked between my ankles, but exciting to me. And I got a gold ribbon next to my name Wodify!

QOTD: I do like the chaffles with sugar free syrup.

Love the Boobie story. My DH would have positioned me as such to take a photo being unaware of my surrounding to have it for a keepsake. So respectful of DD.

Good morning, happy Friday y'all!

Ugh, today is one of those days where I feel like closing my office door, with a sign that says "Go away". I just don't want to talk to anyone at all. Had weird dreams, and I feel like they are carrying over to my mood.

Breakfast - hot tea, water (fasting until noon)

Snack - Fruit smoothie, chia seeds, frozen fruit, oatmilk, water

Lunch - Leftover cheese pizza, hummus, veggies, green beans

Snack - More green beans and pasta with garlic

Dinner - None, going to start fasting early.

I hope you all have a great day!

I will come back with a picture later.

Christina

No picture for me this week. I should have taken one of Miss Lily and I bundled up to walk this morning. I'll plan for next week! We got 3.7 miles in already and will do more later. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday even though I wanted to snack so badly all day I held out. Weight today is 120.4. QOTD protein pancakes. I didn't try them for quite awhile but I now love them. Need to get laundry done before the snow mix comes in and start packing to go stay in the duplex at the distribution center for 2 weeks with hubby and Miss Lily. They made the one side pet friendly so we could stay there with her and work when it's too cold to camp. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L protein pancakes with sugar free syrup D 4 oz bratwurst with mayo. Have a wonderful day full of smart and healthy choices everyone!

I really admire people with the determination to push through. Way to go! I have not tried protein pancakes. What is the texture and taste like compared to traditional pancakes? Are they "eggy" or ...how would you describe them? Do you have a favorite recipe?
