What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning all!
Well I've eaten pretty good the past couple days. Kept within my calorie and carb range and didn't snack on anything extra like that dang popcorn! Actually that popcorn is gone so at least I can't be tempted! Hopefully this weekend will be much of the same. I have noticed that the less I eat as in less carbs, the less hungry I am for them. Anyway, I am so glad this past work week is over. It has been crazy busy and stressful. It was so bad that I almost called out sick Friday because I was so exhausted, but I pushed myself and said it's only one more day. I sure hope this coming week is better and less hectic!
So I'm a little jealous of my parents. My mother informed me the other day that they are flying out to Switzerland in June and going on a 7 night Rhine River cruise and touring parts of Germany. Perhaps if I lose enough weight by June I can sneak into their luggage. Goals!
QOTD: I don't keep up too much with the royal family, but this news made me sad. It's such a shame that this had to happen.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda and sugar free creamer
L: L&F yogurt with granola and banana
D: maybe some turkey meatballs or leftover chili

Sounds like an amazing trip! My parents did a similar one on the Viking River Cruise and it was amazing.
Glad your busy week is over...mine is just starting!

Hi weekenders! The weekend here is gor--geous!! Temps will reach mid sixties. I'm recovering from a bad cold but could not pass up the weather, so I thoroughly enjoyed my run. I am at piano with the older kid, and we'll head to Primark for the younger kid after. Stop at the market for a dinner plan and that's it's for my weekend. I will work from home for a bit to catch up on lingering projects. I had a second interview this week for a position I'm really interested, if I'm offered it I want to make sure that I've squared away some of the long term things I've had going at my current job.
I envy your discipline to keep your carbs under 20!! My goal right now is to keep my carbs under 80- it's a struggle, I'm losing weight but it's still a bit to bouncy- I think 70 may be my sweet spot. I'm finding it very easy to keep my sugar grams under 30.
qotd: I'm intrigued by the Harry/Meghan thing, so much so I started watching the crown. I plan on binge watching it today and tomorrow. I wonder what his brother thinks of all this??
meals today are sketchy...
m1: fairlife chocolate protein nutrition
m2: cream of wheat (nursing my cold)
m3: ??
m4: salmon, salad

Morning JB and all of you OHers. I am so trying to get back to all of my good habits, including spending more time here. I am happy to say I have been totally perfect on plan for the last 10 days and I already feel better.
Today my friends are taking me away for the night to an unknown destination. It is a late bday girls' trip. All they said is pack comfortable clothes, a warm coat and a bathing suit. What? That is not helping me at all to figure out where we are going. My challenge is staying on track, but given that 3 of 4 of us are RNYs, it should be okay.
QOTD:
I have been casually paying attention to the Harry and Megan drama. It is sad that they have had to make the decision they did, but it is probably a good one for their family. I have a feeling that Dianna would approve.
My menu is up in the air because of the trip, but I promise to be a good girl. So far for breakfast I had a Zenner chicken sausage wrapped in an Xtreme Wellness tortilla and I will have an egg bite for a snack. The rest is a mystery.
Have a great weekend everyone!

QOTD: I don't follow the Royals. I've found out more about the issue by reading today's OH posts than I knew before.
Food today is uncertain. Yesterday, my pouch was very temperamental and didn't follow my food plan. Today I'll try to eat right but may end up not eating much. Bone broth and tea to start, today. I did a big project in the kitchen, and so today I've got to get it cleaned up and try to catch up on laundry.

Good Saturday everyone.
i tried really hard last night to go to bed a bit early and to try and be calm. Yeah...that didn't work so much. Guys I'm exhausted. Down to the core of my being.
qotd: I've watched a few documentaries about the royals. I'm a big history buff. That being said I think Harry and esp Meghan are treated so poorly. Race is certainly as big an issue in England as it is here. I hope they can find happiness away from that dreadful situation.
food has been a wreck. Cookies for breakfast and 4 chips with some tzatziki dip for lunch.

Today I work till 6:00 but due to I've and snow it's been slow. People aren't getting out to buy cars today.
QOTD: I hear a lot about the Total family on the news but don't follow them. So, are the problems due to Megan being from mixed race parents? If so, what is the problem with that? IMO the queen should have retired years ago. Prince Phillip should be the biggest embarrassment. He looked like a fool in the interview.
Days today:
Greek yogurt, Premier protein
Chicken, broccoli, small fried rice
SF pudding
Chopped salad, boiled egg, cheese
Fruit smoothie

the British tabloids have pretty much hounded her since day 1. And yes - it's probably mostly due to race. It seems like whatever she does, it's wrong (at least according to the tabloids and their followers). That would make ANYONE'S life miserable! And Harry is seeing parallels to the way his mother was treated by the tabloids the last couple years of her life. I think they've just had it. I can hardly blame them...
