What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Thank you! For me, it's such a personal thing that makes me feel better. My husband eats meat, and I even cook it for him but he will also eat plant based a lot as well. I'm not trying to "convert" him, but I definitely make sure that I share delicious meal options with him and give him choices. For me, it's all about the animals, sustainability and future of our world.

I cant bring myself to eat bananas. I know it is because we had a big family and the neighborhood grocery store used to give my mother the leftover bananas that were too black to sell. She mashed them up and put them in oatmeal. I also cannot eat a bowl of oatmeal to this day.
I have tried to eat fresh bananas and just cannot do it.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I understand this 100%! There's certain foods from my childhood that I ate out of necessity that today I cannot even stand to smell.
For me? Ramen. I absolutely detest it. I know people love to go to the little cool restaurants and eat ramen, but I can't. I can't do the fast stove top ramen, or sit down and eat from a gourmet place ramen. I just ate it SO much as a kid.

LOL - I'm that way with meatloaf (that's another dish I could have used for my QOTD). My father used to make this HORRIBLE meatloaf all the time when we were growing up. All us kids hated it. To this day, I won't touch meatloaf with a 10 foot pole, even though I'm sure there are much better renditions than my father's. But...no...I can't do it.
Good morning all! Happy Thursday. This has been a ridiculously busy week and even though this post is on the later side, I thought I'd check in. The rest of the month is going to be crazy. I have 5 filings with the court so my mind is fried. Also, I've been sick since Christmas, so it's kinda draining my energy. I can't wait to get home every night, eat a little something and crawl under my weighted blanket. Anyway, happy to check in with everyone.
QOTD: Pizza. Without a doubt, Pizza. I just don't get the allure. I'd probably be fine if I never had another piece in my life.
My plan:
B: ground turkey, pesto and cheese
L: unknown actually. I have a client meeting at noon, so I'll either skip it or get something on my way back
D: Chicken thigh, ceasar salad
S: latte (x2 - 1 homemade and the other iced on my way back to the office)
E: unknown. I was signed up for spin, but cancelled the class. I'll have to see how I feel.

Feel better!
I could take or leave pizza too. I like it, but I don't feel any craving for it. EXCEPT that there is a certain style of pizza that seems to be unique to the area I live in with Grim, now. It is really thin crust and somehow sort of sweet and caramelized. I have never had anything like it and it is very craveable.
