What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
on 1/9/20 12:16 pm
Aw, I really like tomatoes, but I developed a late in life allergy to them. No salsa on tacos, no T in my BLT... so sad.
Sorry you hurt your hand :( Will you be enjoying the one gym, too. or is it just for him?

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
JB were gonna miss your happy and positive disposition first thing in the morning and we will all be waiting your return. I am sure you'll check in when you get a chance but it just won't be the same.
QOTD: Nutella and Bologna. Hands down I do not like in any way shape or form. And do not try to convince me you nutella lovers it ain't going to happen.
So I have decided to pack about four bottles of sugar free flavor water enhancers like Mio to drink with Vodka and water on vacation. It will keep me away from sugary and carbonated crap and keep me a little more accountable. Not that I plan on being a drunken fool for 7 days just would like to sip into a nice relaxed state that I really need.
Accountability, Did great only changed the Chaffles to Blueberry and ate less than a quarter cup of trail mix. Avoided grabbing any cheese.

Hi there!
I would say my diet is absolutely vegan, but I try to use the term plant based instead of vegan until I am able to completely give my lifestyle over to veganism. I'm a work in progress.
I do not eat eggs, I don't eat any animal products. I do eat fortified cereals sometimes (dry as a snack) and I use nutritional yeast on certain foods for taste and the added B12 boost.
I take a sublingual B12, as well as vitamin D. I use BA vitamins for my daily vitamins, and calcium chews. Thankfully, my labs are exactly where they should be. If anything changes, I have an amazing team from my surgeon's office that will help me get back on track.
I realize I'm in the minority here, as someone who doesn't eat animal products, drink milk, and I intermittent fast on top of that. That being said, I'm also almost 11 years out from surgery, and I can eat plenty of calories and nutrients in my 6 hour eating window. I always try to clarify that I am 11 years out, because my pouch is nothing like that of a new patient.
Most importantly, I look and feel better at 45 than I ever did at 25.
