What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
on 1/9/20 2:19 am
Morning all! Whew, yesterday was a whirlwind, I didn't get a chance to come back and read or even eat lunch. I think the next two weeks are going to be like that.
I am slowly realizing that it will probably be best for me not to take the time to start the post, starting on Monday 1/13 until Friday 1/24. After that everything should free back up again, but it is going to be a wild few weeks... I need to meet with all 35 schools in person for between 3 - 6 hours to approve next year's budget and staffing plan. That will take up every second of the day, so I will need to use the precious before work hours to answer regular emails and do other work...
Accountability: Another great day. I skipped a mid-day meal because I was too busy, so I ended the day at 660 calories and 6 (yes SIX) carbs. I exercised, too!
QOTD: What food or drink do others love but you don't like? I never liked Orange Juice. I like eating oranges, and orange flavors, but the idea of thick sugary orange juice is so gross to me. I also really dislike Ice Cream, too, but that is due to lactose intolerance. I am grateful that I don't like it!. I bought a Halo Top over 2 months ago and haven't touched it because I have no craving for the idea of ice cream.
Exercise: Short Run & Elliptical.
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Good morning everyone! Quick post before I'm out the door.
QOTD: Can't really think of much at the moment, but growing up and even to this day I dislike grape flavored anything. I love grapes, but not the artificial flavoring. Everyone would always laugh at me because I'd pick out all the grape flavored jellybeans, skittles or whatever candy I was eating.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: turkey and cheese roll up
D: salmon and broccoli
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
Good morning, everybody!
We are slowly edging towards the weekend. My goal for the weekend is to leave the house as little as possible. Its my sons birthday, so we may go to the movies and I have a few other things to do, but by and large, I intend to stay home.
DD goes back to school for her last semester tomorrow, so we may do something as a family tonight. Hopefully, whatever it is involves stying warm and getting to bed at an early hour. I'm not super jet lagged, but I seem to tire fairly early and wake up a little early also.
Picture is in Wellington New Zealand - reenactment of tumbling Hobbits.
QOTD: I don't like the eel in Sushi. People keep telling me to re-try it, but nope.
Breakfast: Sausage and cottage cheese
snack: Protein bar
lunch: pork
snack: nuts
dinner: TBD (may be out for birthday)
Have a great day, all!

Hi everyone! Last night I did the bio freeze on my chest that Chrissy recommended, input Vick?s and warm socks on my feet like the office ladies recommended and I dosed myself with NyQuil at 730 after a hot bath. First time in two weeks I didn?t cough myself awake. In fact, I woke up at midnight, went right back to sleep, woke up at 3, went back to sleep until 4 and still watched the daily show with my coffee and made it to work on time. I?m still tired but my throat is less scratchy and I feel less congested, yay!!
I have bookclub tonight (book was the delightful The Buddha in the Attic) so looking forward to that!
whoops - editing to add the QOTD - I hate seafood, all of it. No fish, no shrimp, no lobster, no sushi (unless it's vegetable sushi). Not for me! (Fun fact, my paternal grandfather was a commercial fisherman for most of his life -- with my anti seafood tastes I was it his favorite grandchild!)
JB, I?ll help with starting the menu thread the next couple of weeks, if it?s not up when I get on ? although no one brings your A level meme game!!
menu today is
sausage patty and carb master cottage cheese
light and fit greek and a sausage patty
tbd on dinner and snack but book club is usually pretty healthy and protein forward, I?m going to bring some kind of meat/cheese roll up that I plan on finding at the store at lunch time.
have a fantastic Thursday everyone!
