Good morning everyone! Hump day is here - make it through today and we're at Friday Eve!

qotd - the private toll road near me. I use it as little as possible because it's stupid expensive and I don't think private enterprises should own the roads.

i just can't shake this cold. My plan for today is to work, take a long hot bath and go to bed early and see if that gets me over the final stages. I am just exhausted and would like to 1) not cough myself awake and 2) breathe through my nose. Enough whining from me though!

menu today

b - sausage patty and cin raisin cottage cheese

l - tbd

d - either real good poppers or a link of buffalo jalapeño sausage

s - L&F greek

coffee with half and half and tea, of course!

have a great Wednesday everyone!

Sorry your not feeling well. I have a little secret remedy for a night cough. Have you heard of Biofreeze for muscle aches and pains? It contains and ingredient called camomille that was used in the old days they used to soak rags in it with ho****er and lay it on their chest. If you have any in the house roll it on your chest before you got to bed. It is not sticky after it drys and the mentol feels so good. It always seems to help me.

hi all- didn't work out after work yesterday. but I did make it this morning before work, I'm really liking going before then I feel I have more time after work for other stuff I need to be doing- plus the gym is way more dead.

scale back up into REALLY scary range and I'm fighting allergies/head cold and feel horrible. I'm going to just pour hot liquids in my mouth all day and maybe that will help. DH is planning on coming today also which is great. have several conf calls and if I feel too back I might just see about working from home the rest of the day. we will see.

QOTD: hmmm- flood insurance, car insurance, home insurance, internet. I think those are the biggies...

I DID buy the IP air fryer lid! It's coming this week!!!

food plan today:

lots of water and hot liquids

veg soup

Good morning everyone.

i am dragging my butt this morning. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist at 10:20 this morning. I have one with my surgeon tomorrow and PCP Friday. I'm so not looking forward to them in a way and on another way I hope to make major strides in the quest to get my back fixed. I'm hopeful anyway!

last night was rough. My right leg has started to throb when I lay down to try and sleep. It makes it interesting, having to switch sides every hour or less. I've also been having nightmares. My mind is way to overactive!

qotd: I'm not sure on this one. I would say waste disposal where I live. A neighbor set out a couch and sofa by the dumpster and It's been there for at least 5 months. It's gross and no matter how many times we call they still don't pick it. The person running it here is just not good at it.

B: PP shake

S: L&F yogurt

L: Progresso soup

S: ???

D: PP shake

Good morning! Happy Hump Day indeed!

QOTD - I really resent the amount of money we have to pay for health insurance. I am blessed to work for a government entity, and my insurance is amazing. That being said, it's always just stuck in my side how much we have to pay for insurance in general in America. We have the ability for universal healthcare, but... Anyhow, that's my payment that I resent!

Breakfast - none, black coffee and water, IF until noon

Lunch - vegan Indian food, peas/potato aloo mutter, sliced tomatoes

Snack - 1/2 peanut butter and jelly on multi grain

Dinner - 1/2 cosmic crisp apple (new obsession), other 1/2 of peanut butter and jelly

I hope you all have a great day!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

Mornin' All!

feeling a bit sore this morning (although in a good way) since I went to the weight room last night. I found my old workout card in their file cabinet (surprised they didn't toss it since I haven't recorded anything on it in three years!) so I was motivated to do both upper & lower body. Amazing how weak I've become after that long - but I know I'll build it up again pretty fast. I felt WONDERFUL afterward. I've never liked strength training, but I need to remember that wonderful feeling I got after doing it last night. Maybe it'll keep me coming back for more....

I have a hearing scheduled for 11:30 re: my appointment as permanent legal guardian for the woman I've mentioned before. The hearing for temporary guardianship only lasted about ten minutes - but I'm thinking this one might be more involved. I went to see her and her caretaker again yesterday since it'd been awhile. I also did some research on her family last night - I was just curious. She has a ton of relatives - mostly nieces and nephews (she has (or had) something like five siblings). Sad that no one had any interest in being her guardian. Her caretaker said her only remaining sibling only calls a couple of times a year, and she's never heard from anyone else. And no one - other than one sister who died last spring - has ever come to visit. Sad.

after the hearing we're heading down to Chicago since I have my last follow-up appt with my plastic surgeon tomorrow morning. I haven't booked a hotel yet because I"m always worried they're going to cancel my appt (has happened twice) - but I have no choice once it gets to be mid-morning here. If they cancel it, I guess we'll just be spending the day in Chicago...

QOTD: I guess parking. I try to take the bus when I can (as an emeritus university employee, I can get an annual bus pass for whatever price the current faculty & staff pay, which is like $50 a year. Way cheaper than what I'd shell out for parking over the course of a year)

4 years 7 months out:

B: small slice of protein-enhanced Swedish cheesecake topped with light Cool Whip and homemade berry sauce, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: we'll be on the road - I'll pack some protein bars and individual packets of nuts - so I'll probably have some of those (for a snack this afternoon, too....)

D: depends on where we end up staying. Hopefully we'll be near a Middle Eastern place. If so, chicken kebabs! But regardless, something safe....I can't afford to gain anymore weight.

have a great day, everyone!
