Whats on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
ok so the aqua pilates didn't happen- apparently I wanted to sleep in instead of getting up at 5 am. I did not drink enough water yesterday and the scale is up.
I had a super productive weekend- food prepped (made baked chicken, chicken soup, broccoli and apple oat protein muffins) Didn't get to the egg drop soup that is for today (adding veggies to it)
Also didn't do gym yesterday which was supposed to be cardio- BUT I did prep the floor for the laminate whi*****luded pulling up all the carpet grippers and staples in the floor, laying the underlayment etc. so there was work done there. I also made two wreaths for both doors. Went to michaels and got non Christmas style stuff for 80% off for both of them- they look so different eventhough they have the same flowers and décor. Will show for photo Friday. The king size bed will come I think by next Monday so that will be AWESOME - DH is coming tomorrow.
QOTD: not so much
food plan-
apple oat prot muffins
coffee

Ripping up carpet staples is a way better workout that you can get at the gym!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
I made no New Year's Resolutions because I am perfect. LOL My Resolution has been weight loss for the last 48 years of my life and this is the first year I am not really in need of weight loss. I also gave up smoking and drinking for weight loss surgery so no reason to cut those out and I actually like being a smart ass so keeping that in the things I still got left. In my mind I would like to loose 7 more but if I don't I'm ok with it. However the lack of gym over the holidays had me upset so I did go Thursday and Friday and I plan a session today.
QOTD: I am asleep by 11:00
I finally booked my February trip to the caribbean so in a few short weeks I will be at the beach. I need to start tanning and canceling Mail and paper and all that good stuff. Does anyone get motion sickness? I do and after surgery I used Dramamine and it did not go very well. It all released at one time and I was drowsy and almost drooling then it wore of quikly and I got very sick. Any suggestions of alternate motion sickness remedies would be greatly appreciated.

I get motionsickness and the best thing ever is the scopolamine patch. It makes you a little thirsty but it works for 3 days. I think the brand name is transdermal scop. I keep dramamine in my purse as a rule but with the patch, on a small ship cruise, I didn't need it even when we had a rough night -- I was giving out my dramamine pills to everyone else like they were tic tacs.

I have used the patches a few times and here is what I found out/experienced. When I used for a 7-day cruise I was fine when I got home and for the first 24 hours and then woke up very dizzy and took Bonine (a motion sickness dissoluble tablet) and was fine. My plastic surgeon had me use one to avoid nauseousness after surgery and I had zero issues that time.
My hubby used one for a cruise (a shorter 3 day one) and about halfway through he freaked out when he was trying to read something and it was blurry (he has something like better than 20/20 vision!) and we read and that can be a side effect from it.
Totally worth it in my opinion though.
Good morning menu friends it's great to see everyone posting today! Miss Lily and I have our 3.6 miles in already and will do more later today.
