Mornin' All!
I went to a holiday celebration at our local Hindu temple yesterday morning (was there for five hours!) and forgot to post until late last night, when it seemed a bit pointless. It was fun and interesting and they served a great south Indian lunch afterward. I was good and only ate about a third of it - brought the rest home so I can pick at it today (well, not pick - but make one or two meals out of it!). Today I'm planning to go to water aerobics (later this morning) or Aqua Zumba (tonight), and I have a meeting this afternoon for a new committee that a friend talked me into joining (why can't I say no?? But this one is planning field trips for a senior educational/cultural organization, so it might be kinda fun...). This will be kind of a busy week in general. Oh well, it's good to get back to a normal pace!
QOTD: I almost never watch TV, and there's not one in our room, so...no. My MIL is going to replace her flat screen TV, though, so we may "inherit" her existing one (we only have the old tube varieties), so maybe we'll move one of our old sets into the bedroom.
4 years 7 months out:
B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt, diced cooked apples/pears, and SF syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: probably some of the leftover Indian food
AS: at a meeting. I'll have a protein bar and/or an individual packet of nuts with me just in case
D: salad with diced turkey and light dressing
have a great day, all!

Good Monday morning everyone.
phew...last night was a hard one, gonna be a long day. We have my nephew all day and the nieces after they get out of school. Hoping to get a nap in...we'll see LOL
my mom is wanting to get a new dishwasher so I am thrilled. I am the current one. Hahaha. The lines in our current one are to brittle and it's old too.
i found a gem in my MRI report...never good to see obliterated LOL

Hi JB and all,
Today is the first five day workweek in quite a few weeks...I predict it will be painful lol! We have had guests since Friday December 20th. My mom flies home later today. It will be nice to get back to normal life. Meal-prepping for 2, instead of 8, not doing a load of laundry a day, etc. But it's been lovely to have everyone and I don't take it for granted that we have our parents and our kids want to spend time with us, so no complaints here...
QOTD: We record and watch Bill Maher, but he has been on hiatus for a few weeks. I also watch Jimmy Fallon short clips when I see people posting them on FB. They are always hilarious. I don't think Trevor Noah is as funny as Jon Stewart although his book cracked me up!
I managed to lose 2 lbs over the holidays and wish I didn't have so much more to go!
B: 4 oz ever roast chicken, spicy peppers, Humboldt fog cheese
L: leftover chicken lettuce wraps and roasted shrimp and olives
D: ground turkey meatballs for me, chicken sausage and orzo for Kris
E: Depends what time I wrap up work, if I can make it tonight...
Have a fab day, everyone!

I love Trevor! I stopped watching the daily show for a while because he was trying to be Jon Stewart and it wasn't working; now he's being Trevor and ha**** his groove with current events.

Ha, don't get me wrong, I am in bed by 8, too! I can't even imagine the people who stay up and watch them live! But I try to make a point to catch those shows on demand, later in the week.
