Good morning everyone. I am going to try and get in the habit of being more consistent about posting. I made a chaffle for the first time yesterday. I am hooked. I did 1/2 c. sharp cheddar, 1 egg, green onion and sausage crumbles. So incredibly good and filling!

Today my kids are coming home and I am cooking a turkey.

Accountability- Really good!! I am trying to keep my carbs as low as possible. My weight is coming down ever so slowly, but one thing that I notice is I don't feel bloated.

Food plan for today-

chaffle ( I need to figure out what kind and calculate macros)

chaffle

turkey

Lots of water and hot tea. I have also cut back my coffee substantially. I am down to 1/2 c. a day. It just wasn't sitting well in my stomach. So, lots of hot tea.

Good morning menu friends! Another nippy day here in the cornfields of Illinois but Miss Lily and I have our 3.6 miles in and will do another mile later today. Accountability was good yesterday but I switched supper out because the venison wasn't quite thawed. Had one piece of breakfast pizza instead. Here's the food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz or less chicken salad D 4 oz venison stroganoff or more chicken salad if the venison doesn't work. I used to love it before surgery but now about half the time it's just too hard for me to eat. Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone!

Good morning, everyone!! Happy Sunday!!

Today I need to get everything done that I did not get done over the last 2 weeks...lol. School starts back up tomorrow. I will also work in the yard because it is a nice day today (high will be 71).

Happy New Year pouch peeps! Like many in the universe I have some 'new year- new goals' stuff going. I'm not signing up for any races before May so I can focus on nutrition. I'd like to be back to my happy place weight wise, and have maintained it for a month before returning to race training. (Vs. being in a 'that's good enough' place with my weight). It's just 11#- nothing to daunting. I lose fast when I set my mind to it- so maintaining after I lose is the major focal point for me. I'm being much more watchful of sugar grams than I ever was, it's making a big difference.

All my laundry and ironing is already done. I need to pack away the last of the Christmas stuff, wash my wigs and I'm making meatballs subs for dinner. There an eagles games tonight and they want 'game food'. Should be a fairly easy day.

meal 1: post run protein shake

meal 2:3 slices turkey bacon, 1 egg, cheese stick

meal 3: maybe a ham/cheese/pickle deli roll

meal 4: meatballs in sauce w/cheese

At Christmas my friend gave me a jar of her homemade jalapeno mustard. I was using it constantly and not tracking it, because it was only mustard.

I finished the jar last night and decided to make my own. First two ingredients were 16 ounces of mustard and four cups of sugar.

I realize now why I was loving that mustard so much. I was indulging in pure sugar. When I calculated weigh****cher points I came up with 7 points per serving.

Will not be making any of that.
