What's on your (Photo Friday) Menu, RNYers?
Afternoon, All!
I went to an early morning Zumba class and then we met up with my brother, his girlfriend, and my mom, so I never got a chance to post.
Had pizza last night so of course I was up two lbs this morning. My PCP ran some labs to test for kidney and heart issues yesterday, though (because I told her about my issue with edema), but no - everything was normal, so it's just plain ole salt sensitivity. I know the logical solution is to eat a low-sodium diet, but I swear pretty much everything will set it off. I almost never add table salt to anything. But processed meats.....deli meats....SF pudding....salad dressing....pretty much processed everything - loaded with sodium. Ugh. Oh well - at least it shouldn't keep me from losing weight - it just causes larger-than-normal fluctuations.
QOTD: it's great to get away from it for a day or two, but I'm very addicted. It's my way to keep in touch with friends, keep up with the news, entertain myself, educate myself on various issues.
4.5 years out:
B: plain Greek yogurt with homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce and 1 T granola, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake and a hot chai latte (made with masala tea, 2% milk, and artificial sweetener - in other words, not one of those overly sweet chai tea mixes!)
L: 2 dried figs, salad with diced deli turkey and light dressing
AS: homemade cold brew latte (made with unsweetened cashew milk, some pumpkin spice, and 2 T light Cool Whip). May have a L&F yogurt or some raw veggies in a bit - and/or just eat dinner early.
D: 1/2 C dal. Maybe a plant-protein "sausage" or a reuben made of turkey pastrami, sauerkraut, and light Thousand Island on a Flat Out FoldIt
I'm so glad we're not meeting anyone for dinner tonight! I still have around 400 calories left for dinner, which is easy-peasy when I'm eating at home....and very challenging if we were going out again!
have a great evening, everyone!

Good Friday evening.
i feel so stupid! I just realized my MRI report says my biggest disc bulge is actually 2.3cm. Apparently my mind doesn't do math all to well. My mind read MM when it actually is CM. My brain is gooooooo.
I'm trying to decide what to do with my hair. The pics attached are what I'm considering.
In other areas I bought a "project" cane from the thrift store. I've asked my friends to send small stickers from where they live. I'll cover it in them and it'll be a reminder that I'm not as alone as I sometimes often feel. My other cane is polka dotted with multi color dots. I still am not happy to use one but if it keeps me more upright I'll take it. It is helping so I just have to grin and bear it.
