What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Thanks, I am always wary when I try something new. My mother was from New York and her father had a fishing boat. I used to eat fish fresh from the ocean and usually don't really trust fish if I can't smell salt in the air. I will let you know if I like the Gortons.

That is an incredible meme/reminder. Love it.

Hello and happy new year, menu thread folks! Wooosh, I have had a FULL HOUSE for the last 9 days...the in-laws left Tuesday, the kids left last night...and my mom arrives today until Monday. I feel busy. I swear to god, I should have kept count - I think I did 20 loads of laundry during the break. Surprisingly, food wasn't a huge issue this holiday - I made them all a big breakfast of waffles or pancakes and eggs and bacon everyday, but stuck to my ever roast chicken and cheese, and then had a moderate lunch and dinner. So the good news is, I didn't GAIN over the break...but nor did I lose. So I am starting 2020 wanting to lose 40 lbs. I am not sure how that can feel so daunting but it does. Time to get off my ass and make it happen.
QOTD: Since Kris' parents are Jehovah's Witnesses and always come on Dec 25, sadly I take down all my decorations on the 24th. They wouldn't be mad about it - they know none of us are religious let along Witnesses - but I wouldn't want them to feel uncomfortable. We just have stockings, two inside fake trees, and outside lights. I packed them up all up the afternoon of the 24th.
B: Last of the ever roast chicken, goat cheese
L: chicken flatbread pizza
D: Out at our favorite fancy seafood place - I will order the 1/2 lb king crab on ice with mustard dipping sauce. YUMMO.
E: No time, between work and airport pick-up and fancy dinner. Jan 2nd is undoubtedly a heinous and packed day at the gym...
Have a great day, everyone!
Same!! Hell in a hand-basket describes it perfectly!!
I am hoping now for 1-1.5 a week. First 9 years were pretty easy for me. These last 2 have been rough!!

Its awesome that you didn't gain over the holidays with all of that food and opportunities for yummy breakfast foods (one of my many weaknesses!).
It seems like a lot of us who had surgery around the same time are in the same boat with gain. Hopefully we can all get down to our ideal places, together!

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday eve!
QOTD - tree still up. I think we will work on it this weekend.
Breakfast - black coffee, water (fasting until noon)
Lunch - Vegan bahn-mi at local Vietnamese restaurant. SO good! I also had two small pieces of chocolate because I was craving some sugar badly!
Snack - rice roller with peanut butter, fruit smoothie with chia, almond and water.
Dinner - not sure, we have kids tonight which always makes for interesting dinner choices.
I hope everyone has a great day!
Christina
