Nope, that was me in 2019... this year is going to be soooo different, dammit!

I am so effing tired, you guys... I think I had about 3 hours of sleep total last night and very little of those precious minutes were in a row. I was super restless to start with and then one of my cats decided to lead a midnight rebellion to get more food in his dish, outside of our usual 4am routine. I joked with Grim this morning that we need to make him a little vest that says, "HUNGER IS NOT AN EMERGENCY" (TM Grim Traveller). Yep--our cat is unusually fat and greedy. Go figure.
Accountability: It felt so good to get back into a routine (for a day, anyway!). I had planned on 1000 calories, 90g of protein & 20 carbs, but skipped a few things here and there, and actually had 567 calories, 50g of protein & 20 carbs. I only did 20 minutes on the elliptical and it was more like a slow jog than hard exercise, but better than nothing. Hoping to do even a little better today.
BTW my homemade Buffalo Cauliflower in the air fryer was delish and very filling! This is shaping up to be my fav new appliance :)
QOTD: What are your New Year's Eve plans? We have nothing... I didn't want to go back into the city for First Night--too much traffic and too cold, and we didn't even make dinner reservations anywhere. So we will end the year like every other night--on the couch and in bed early :)

hi all
didn't get to aqua pilates before work- BUT I did go to the gym after work and ran in the pool for a mile with weights. rinsed off then got dressed and left. Got some fun toys for the puppies at Petco so they are getting super spoiled when I get home- which will be AFTER WORK TODAY. then I will head back tomorrow afternoon with the dogs.
I also didn't sleep last night- I think I finally fell asleep at 2? and work up at 5:45. so I'm sure I will be a hot mess later- I went straight to the gym this morning- on my second cup of coffee. I knew I would not have time after work and all that crap.
QOTD: we are hanging at home- I'm stopping by the wing place that has the yummiest roasted wings EVER so that is the plan. I haven't bought anything else to eat but I'm bringing veggies and leftovers home so I don't starve to death LOL
scale down 1.5 pounds from yesterday but still up...

I'm here all week- been going to GA to barn house about 2-3 times a month on weekends. trying to transition all this up here - we are cherry picking furniture at the moment to figure out what to keep there, bring here, or sell. We will be air bnb the barn house in the spring so need to get that into 'rental' shape while not leaving furniture there that will destroyed by people that don't know how to care for furniture.

Happy last day of 2019!! Hard to believe it's a new decade tomorrow; time passes so fast these days!
QOTD - Yesterday I went to bed at 7 pm and slept til almost 4. This cold is kicking my butt so I'm planning a nice relaxing evening at home; I might try to get in a pilates class in the late afternoon and I have to drop somethings off at UPS but otherwise, normal work day and then chill. I am off the rest of the week though so will get several days of rest and recovery, I hope.

Morning all! Late post today as I had an early morning doctors appointment to go over my mri results and to get lab work. Kind of frustrated as the doctor hasn't even received the results yet. I was so happy when I weighed this morning and was down 6 ounces only to get to the doctor and weigh 4 pounds more. Ugh! I'm also still half asleep as I didn't sleep well last night. It's been a frustrating week thus far all the way around. Hopefully the new year starts out better!
QOTD: no plans except to spend a quiet evening at home. Probably go to bed early as I'm exhausted. I normally stay up until at least midnight on New Year's Eve, but I don't know if I'll make it this time.

Happy New Years JB and Menuers.
I been following but not posting and I see the struggles we all have during the holidays. I am glad it's only once a year. I had surgery on my trigger finger on the 26th so I was not able to type till yesterday. Work was crazy busy but I only have a little bit of pain today. I am only here for a half day today and them back to the kitchen to get dinner ready for tomorrow.
QOTD: I am going to dinner at 6:30 we have reservations for 12 of us then I a made a cinnamon roll cheesecake in case anyone wants to come back and have coffee and dessert at my house. I may taste but plan on sticking to the coffee.

Good Morning! Last day of 2019, crazy how quick the year seemed to go. JB- I hope you have some strong coffee this morning and did I miss this buffalo cauliflower recipe?!?? Twinkie sometimes has midnight rampages up and down the hall (after she uses the litter box for some reason) so I can relate!!
